Kumbum Monastery is famous for two main reasons. This was an experience that exceeded my expectations. I especially want to commend the driver; he was warm, friendly, and provided excellent service. He even recommended some local delicacies based on our needs. Overall, it was fantastic in every way 🎉. Although it was the off-season, it wasn't crowded, and the experience was great. It's a small zoo. If you're not interested in seeing the pandas, just buy a regular ticket. Seeing the Pallas's cat and lynx is largely a matter of luck; we only saw a Pallas's cat on our second visit, and we didn't see a lynx at all.

The Dongguan Grand Mosque in Xining City is a rare and solemn building. The nine gold-plated regular script characters "Xining Budongguan Grand Mosque" are inscribed on the middle door lintel, and the inside and outside of the other door lintels are inscribed with gold-plated Arabic classic quotations. The "Hundred-Character Praise" inscribed by Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, for mosques across the country is preserved in the temple and is embedded in the wall of the middle door, which is worth seeing.
