The best time to go is in the morning, when the light is best. If you go in the afternoon, the weather needs to be good enough. I arrived too late the first day; the light wasn't good at 3 PM in winter, so I decided to go again the next day. Finally, I saw the murals! They were truly amazing—vibrant colors, rich details—definitely worth it. The Guang Sheng Temple Pagoda also needs sunlight to look its best. I couldn't take my eyes off it.
