"Humble Administrator's Garden is one of the four major gardens in Suzhou. The whole garden is divided into three parts: East, Middle and West. A large number of flowers are planted in the garden, pavilions are built near the water, and there are rockery scattered, giving people a small bridge and flowing water. It is best to go early, there are fewer people to take pictures, otherwise there are many tourists and there are people everywhere. The whole park is not very big, and it is enough to visit for an hour or two. It is a two hundred meters walk from the Humble Administrator's Garden to the Pingjiang Road block, so these two attractions can be visited together."

Highlights: This ancient town has a history of more than 900 years old with many houses built in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Known as Yao City or Zhenfang lane in ancient times, the town was once a part of the Kingdom of Wu, playing an important role in the distribution of silk, ceramics, art pieces, and food. With lakes on the four sides, the beauty of Zhouzhuang has to be discovered through its water lanes and stone bridges. Taking a boat ride would be an interesting option to tour around the town. Famous sites include Zhang Hall, Shen Hall, and the underwater tomb of Shen Wansan, a famous Yuan Dynasty Businessman. If you stay around till the lights light up at night, you can enjoy a view that is seemingly made up from a fairytale.

Highlights: Lion Forest Garden, Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden, and Canglang Pavilion are collectively known as the “Four Famous Suzhou Gardens”. The Lion Forest was built in the Yuan Dynasty and was originally a back garden of Zen temples. It was later purchased as a private residence. This garden was treasured by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, who always stayed here during his visits to Southern China. Although the Lion Grove Garden is small, the artificial mountains in the park are very well-known. The strange rocks resemble dancing lions. The connection between the artificial mountains is not dissimilar to a maze. You can play hide-and-seek in the stone maze or count the number of observable stone lions.

"The Tiger Hill Scenic Area is mainly to see the Tiger Hill Tower, which is said to be the second leaning tower in the world. Under the tower, I really feel that the tower is tilted so badly. At present, the tower is protected and can only be viewed from a distance and cannot enter. There are several other famous attractions in the scenic area, such as Jianchi, Zhenniang Tomb, Erxian Pavilion, Guanyin Palace, etc., you can stroll around and take pictures. The Huqiu Mountain Scenic Area is not very big overall, and it is almost the same as setting aside two or three hours to play. Then you can take a boat to the Shantang Street scenic spot at the entrance of the scenic spot to continue shopping."

Highlights: Tiger Hill has a history of more than 2,500 years and is a landmark of Suzhou City. The attractions here are mostly historic sites with a beautiful view. Although Tiger Hill is only a small hill, it contains natural landscapes such as cliffs and ravines. Because of its construction history, many cultural attractions have been formed. In the garden, buildings and plants are built to complement each other according to the exquisite Jiangnan garden style. Here, you can learn about the story of the Spring and Autumn Period and visit the lopsided landmark, Yunyan Pagoda.

Highlights: The Lingering Garden, along with the Humble Administrator’s Garden in Suzhou, the Summer Palace in Beijing, and the Chengde Imperial Summer Resort in Hebei, are collectively known as China's Four Great Gardens. The Lingering Garden is known for the graceful beauty of its Chinese pavilions, rock collections, winding paths, the greenery which fills the park, and its jade-colored pond. Here, one can experience the calm of visiting an area in between that of a landscape garden and a natural landscape. The Lingering Garden was built in the Ming dynasty, in the 21st year of Emperor Wanli's reign (1593 CE) by Xu Taishi, a bureaucrat of the Ming court, as the landscape garden of his private residence. The garden was called the "East Garden" at the time. In the Qing dynasty, in the early years of Emperor Guangxu's reign, the garden was purchased by a bureaucrat by the name of Sheng Kang, who renamed it the "Lingering Garden". The garden is divided into four themed sections. Within a single garden, one can have a taste of four distinct scenes, namely natural landscapes, countrysides, mountain forests, and flower gardens.

Highlights: Shantang Ancient Street is an ancient commercial street along the Shantang River in Northwest Suzhou. It boasts 1000 years of history and was built by the Tang Dynasty poet Bai Juyi when he was a government official in Suzhou. Today, at the southern end of the street, there is a temple built to commemorate him. Ancient bridges span across the river canals, and both sides of the canals are lined with old houses and traditional shops. In the evening, the red lanterns lining the street are reflected in the river, creating a picturesque scenery. You can take a boat ride for a fee, or find a tea house to drink tea and listen to traditional Suzhou Pingtan.

Highlights: Pingjiang Road Historic District is located in the south of Humble Administrator's Garden. It has a history of more than 2,500 years and is a well-preserved ancient street. The whole block has Pingjiang Road at its center. This is a small road along the Banghe River. It is about 1.6 kilometers long in total. There are the Xuanqio Lane, the Daru Lane, the Weidao Lane, the Zhongzhangjia Lane, the Daxinqiao Lane and other alleys on the eastern and western sides. The eastern side especially has preserved many water lanes, which are parallel to the water and land and adjacent to the river street. They are very representative of the features of Jiangnan Water City. When you slacken your pace and step foot on the stone road, next to the lush camphor trees you can see the stone columns by the river and stone tables and stone benches along the road. You can take a look at the old houses here. With their white walls, gray tiles, wooden doors and windows, they are elegant and charming in their simplicity.
