138***47When Ouyang Xiu (a native of Ji'an, Jiangxi) took up his post in Qingzhou, his attitude was simple: "I'm here, so don't be so overly ambitious or work so hard. Just do the bare minimum." He could spend his free time studying bronze ware and its inscriptions, treating the common people, and earning a good reputation. In the first year of the Xining era (1068), the 62-year-old Ouyang Xiu was transferred to the position of Minister of War, then appointed Prefect of Qingzhou and concurrently Pacification Commissioner of the Eastern Circuit of Jingdong. Upon receiving the appointment, Ouyang Xiu was unwilling and submitted three memorials resigning, but he could not disobey the emperor's command and ultimately traveled from Bozhou to Qingzhou to take up his post. After arriving in Qingzhou, Ouyang Xiu continued to implement a policy of "leniency and simplicity without disturbance." Within days of taking office, he reduced most of the government's affairs, and two months later, the government office was as quiet as a monastery. When asked how he could govern with leniency and simplicity without neglecting his duties, he believed that mistaking excessive indulgence for tolerance and omitting necessary tasks for simplicity would lead to administrative chaos and harm the people. True leniency is not harshness or arbitraryness, and simplicity is not cumbersome or trivial. He also used the analogy of a doctor treating an illness, pointing out that a good doctor is one who can cure the disease, and a good official is one who is praised by the people. During his time in Qingzhou, he promoted benevolence and filial piety, educating the local people. In his spare time, he would travel and enjoy nature, gathering with friends at his "mountain retreat" to drink wine and write poetry. The following year, during the wheat harvest, Qingzhou suffered from severe flooding. He was deeply distressed, fasted for three days, wrote the "Qingzhou Prayer for Clear Weather," and petitioned the court to exempt the people from taxes and provide relief, helping them through the crisis. Although Ouyang Xiu served in Qingzhou for less than three years, he left behind many admirable stories. The people of Qingzhou were deeply grateful to him, and later built the Ouyang Gong Temple in his honor.

Anonymous userShihu Garden was acquired and renovated by the richest man in Weixian County at a huge cost, which shows the prosperity and extravagance of the time; "Shihu" is a humble way of describing the garden's small size and crampedness. In today's view, it was really extravagant within the county seat.

八方来财的幸运The underground parking lot is too small to accommodate many cars, but it's very cheap at 1 yuan per hour. I booked in advance. To be honest, you can tell the local government really put effort into this museum. However, Qingzhou is a small place, so there wasn't much to exhibit. They cobbled together a few things, which was passable. But honestly, the cultural and creative souvenirs were relatively expensive and not good value for money.

134***35Yunmen Mountain is a more welcoming scenic area... because the steps are better constructed, and the public restrooms are more presentable than those at Tuoshan Mountain, making its overall level higher. As for the grottoes, Tuoshan's are more exquisite, but many elderly people probably prefer to see the iconic "longevity" character, as it symbolizes good fortune. Transportation is quite convenient. We hiked during the off-season, and it was easy to take a taxi back to the old town afterward.

小小导游爱旅游My dears! You must go to the Weifang Kite Museum! As soon as you enter, you will be amazed by the variety of kites. There are so many styles and the shapes are particularly unique. Not only can you see traditional kites here, but also modern innovative ones. You can learn about the history and production process of kites, and you can also experience flying in the interactive area. It's fun and knowledge-enhancing. It's worth it!

M19***57Huanghuaxi in Qingzhou boasts stunning scenery and is known as the "Jiuzhaigou of the North." Located east of Linzi and southwest of Qingzhou, it lies on the foothills of Lushan Mountain and was formed over decades by wind and rain. The area features twelve famous scenic spots, including Yuanqi Forest. The name "Huanghuaxi" (Yellow Flower Stream) signifies the abundance of natural resources such as water, rocks, mountains, and forests. The stream is crystal clear, sometimes still like a country girl, sometimes rushing and turbulent. The babbling brooks and babbling brooks, along with the frolicking of shrimp and crabs, create a natural oxygen bar. Its beauty rivals that of the ancient Pushuijian, with its thousand-year-old cultural heritage, leading to the saying, "In ancient times there was Pushuijian, today there is Huanghuaxi." In early spring, forsythia and winter jasmine bloom, and waterfalls cascade like pearls and silver. In late autumn and early winter, although the yellow flowers are gone, the mountains, cliffs, waterfalls, and streams still create a picturesque landscape. However, during peak season, it gets very crowded, which may negatively impact the experience for families with children. It is recommended to arrive before 9 am to avoid the crowds.

全球小超人Free admission for Shandong University alumni. Half price for children and students. The scenery is very beautiful, and transportation is convenient; it's only 5 kilometers from the highway exit. It would be even better to come in summer when there's water. The steps are well-maintained and offer a challenge, but aren't too difficult. Worth visiting again.

M2b***q1Shouguang Polar Ocean World is a large-scale tourist complex integrating marine life viewing, pet interaction, science education, children's entertainment, and dining and leisure activities. It is also the largest single-site oceanarium in central Shandong, making it ideal for family outings. The air-conditioned venue provides a cool and comfortable atmosphere, and a single ticket covers the entire experience, making it an excellent value. The venue is fully equipped with trash cans, restrooms, and other public facilities for convenient use.

_FL***29The scenery of Tuoshan is very good. There are not many tourists climbing the mountain in the morning. There are many steps, but it is acceptable. There are platforms or pavilions to rest after climbing a section. The mountain breeze is also very comfortable. In the distance, you can see the giant Buddha composed of nine peaks, which is particularly spectacular. There are five grottoes near the top of the mountain, which are beautifully carved! Worth going!

mogujiejieThis is a disappointing scenic spot. I think you can do better. First of all, there were definitely tourists during the National Day holiday, even though it wasn't during the Vegetable Expo. There wasn't much to see, with only the 4th and 8th floors open. The facilities and services were inadequate, and the museum felt run-down, with many paths and areas locked. It didn't feel high-tech, and was just an ordinary botanical garden with little to offer. I hope they'll pay a little more attention to it during holidays.
