156***37The Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum is quite large; it would take several hours to explore it thoroughly. It's especially beautiful this season, with ginkgo, sycamore, red maple, and pine trees displaying a riot of colors. Apart from being a bit crowded, it's quite lovely.

小洁洁mmThe maple leaves on Qixia Mountain have turned red, and autumn is in full swing! Qixia Temple on Qixia Mountain is the birthplace of the Sanlun School of Buddhism in Jiangnan and is known as "one Qixia Mountain, half the history of Nanjing." Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty visited Jiangnan six times, staying at the Qixia Qianlong Imperial Palace five times. Qixia Mountain is one of China's four major maple viewing spots, and "Qixia Red Maple" is listed among the new forty scenic spots of Nanjing. The Qixia Mountain Scenic Area is a comprehensive scenic area integrating natural landscapes, red leaf scenery, stone forest landscapes, and historical and cultural elements. In 2008, the Qixia Mountain Scenic Area was rated as a National 4A-level scenic area in China.

M22***02The banks of Crescent Lake were packed with people, a vibrant display of autumn colors. This is arguably the best place in Nanjing to see autumn foliage. There's also a sycamore-lined avenue at the entrance, but parking is extremely difficult, and it costs 3 yuan for 15 minutes, which is quite expensive.

Kingsley_YuBy mid-November, the maple leaves along the Stone Statue Road had turned red, and the ginkgo trees had already turned yellow. The only downside was that the sycamore trees hadn't turned yellow yet, but that didn't detract from the beauty of the scenic area. It was quite nice and offered good value for money.

AdodoGinkgo Lake Park is still worth a visit. There are discounts for seniors. Although it is not free, it is much lower than the adult ticket. You must buy the 20 yuan shuttle bus, which can save a lot of energy. The park is good for children to play. There is also an area to feed animals, and the beautiful scenery of the mountaintop behind the innermost suspension bridge, as well as a beach area and a wishing well. Anonymous userThe park is quite large. Entering from the east gate, you can take a shuttle bus up to the halfway point and walk down. The Buddha Palace and Buddha Pagoda are the main tourist attractions. The Buddha Palace is magnificent; you can visit the first floor first, then go to the underground palace, especially the fifth and fourth underground floors, which are well worth a visit. The Buddha Pagoda offers panoramic city views. Ticket prices are relatively high.

230***82A museum well worth a visit. Located in Chaotian Palace, the site is the most complete existing Ming and Qing dynasty official architectural complex in Jiangnan, carrying the echoes of 2,500 years of history since the Spring and Autumn Period. Originally built during the Hongwu reign of the Ming dynasty and rebuilt in the fifth year of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing dynasty, the ancient architectural complex faces south, with the Confucian Temple in the center, the prefectural school on the east, and the government offices on the west, its layout rigorous and its atmosphere solemn. The finest cultural relics are housed in the hall to the left of the Chong Sheng Hall. The museum displays a dazzling array of over 100,000 artifacts, telling the story of the elegance of the Six Dynasties and the splendor of the Ming dynasty. National treasures such as the blue-and-white porcelain plum vase depicting Xiao He chasing Han Xin and the jade belt with gold-inlaid cloud and dragon patterns are breathtaking. In the exhibition hall, white porcelain relief vases, gold ornaments, and ancient costumes shimmer quietly under the lights, each piece a testament to time.

yxj003Jiming Temple, located on the south bank of Xuanwu Lake, was first built in the Western Jin Dynasty and is one of the oldest and most popular Buddhist temples in Nanjing. The temple is small, with a very elegant environment and a constant flow of incense smoke. To the left is an altar for offering food, in front of which is the Maitreya Hall, above which are the Mahavira Hall and the Guanyin Pavilion. The temple is primarily inhabited by nuns, and it is said that the old version of the TV series "The Legend of the White Snake" was filmed here. Currently, some areas are under renovation.
