Kumbum Monastery is famous for two main reasons. First, its location is close to Xining, the capital of Qinghai Province, only 28 kilometers away, making it easily accessible to travelers with excellent service. Second, it is the birthplace of Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism, for whom a large silver stupa was built. Later, a monastery was built around the stupa, which was then directly named Kumbum Monastery. It's a vast complex, built against the mountainside, very majestic. This was an experience that exceeded my expectations. I especially want to commend the driver; he was warm, friendly, and provided excellent service. He even recommended some local delicacies based on our needs. Overall, it was fantastic in every way 🎉. Although it was the off-season, it wasn't crowded, and the experience was great. Highly recommended!

The Xining Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Wildlife Park is worth visiting two or three times. We saw the adorable giant pandas, and even spotted the internet-famous Ling Xiaozhe, with its agile movements and commanding presence. The Garden Babies were working hard, exuding their own cool charm. The Pallas's cat was curled up in its wooden enclosure; every single animal was incredibly cute.

The Qinghai-Tibet border landscape is breathtaking, the fluttering prayer flags create a wonderful atmosphere, and the legend of Princess Wencheng adds to the charm! A must-see for anyone passing through, the scenery is magnificent, the Tibetan culture is rich, and the price is great!
