Highlights: A New Age of Wonders: Swarovski Crystal Worlds Daniel Swarovski founded his crystal cutting company in Wattens, Tirol in 1895, and he had a vision from the very beginning - See crystal not just as a material, but as an inspiration. With this vision in mind, Swarovski Crystal Worlds opened in 1995 to celebrate Swarovski's 100th birthday as a tribute to customers and crystal lovers. Since then, Swarovski Crystal Worlds has had plenty of exciting moments of wonder. Originally conceived by multimedia artist André Heller, many well-known artists from the art and design world have interpreted the crystal world in their hearts – each in their own unique way. They created the concept of space and experience from gleaming materials, and after several renovations and expansions, it has now expanded to a campus of over 7.5 hectares. Throughout the year, whether indoors or outdoors, they provide a captivating impression on visitors of all ages, allowing them to experience a "full sensory experience" through specially crafted fragrances. The motivation behind the creation of the "House of Miracles" is based on the historical story "House of Miracles" at the Ambras Castle in Innsbruck, which entered from the head of a giant and unfolded underground. In the 16th century, this room tried to bring together all the knowledge and learning of the time. This is the foundation of Swarovski Crystal Worlds. The basic concept is that every artist and designer can use Swarovski crystals to tell a different story. In each new room, visitors will be immersed in a whole new world, meeting the creative spaces that the artists have built on a personal level. Gardens In gardens you will find places that exude beauty and inspiration, full of aesthetics and legends. The stunning natural landscape blends into the surrounding Alpine Tyrolean world. It stimulates the imagination, but also communicates past and present. Special art installations, combined with the colourful and varied planting schemes created by British garden designer Tony Howard, make the gardens a popular place for visitors to linger. One of the highlights is designer duoCAOPERROT's crystal cloud, which consists of more than 800,000 hand-set crystals that are influenced by weather, time and natural cycles, constantly opening up new perspectives for visitors. Fredrikson Stallard's work "Prologue Three" features 8,000 shaded blue crystals that refract and reflect sunlight according to the position of the sun, animating the surroundings of the Giant's Garden. To the south of the 'Giant', a play tower and innovative playground landscape designed by renowned architectural firm Snøhetta provide ample space for children to enjoy a variety of games and rock climbing adventures. The black and white playful form of the carousel by Spanish designer Jaime Hayon creates a captivating contrast to the ornate and colourful gardens, drawing children and adults alike into the magic of the carousel. Another special place is the Roman ruins that serve as the "Room of Natural Wonders". During reconstruction work, workers found here the remains of the walls of a third-century AD Roman building. The find includes a treasure trove of coins of great historical value, which was recovered from the ground nearly two thousand years later. Swarovski Crystal Worlds Store Visitors can enter the Swarovski Crystal Worlds store either through the House of Magic or directly through the multimedia entrance, where fascinating light and sound installations create a fantastical atmosphere. This spacious shopping environment gathers many Swarovski products in the same space, showing the diversity of crystal as a material and the strong creative power of the Swarovski brand, and demonstrating its relationship with the fashion and design world strong partnership.
