Originally known as Kipishi Temple, it is located on the hillside of Kipishi Mountain in Zezhou County, 17 kilometers southeast of Jincheng City. Looking at Fushan Mountain in the east, the giant peaks are lined up in a row, and it is magnificent; looking at Jue Mountain in the south, the twin peaks are towering into the sky, beautiful and tall. The Danshui at the foot of the mountain is rippling, like a jade belt floating away from the northeast to the southwest; looking back at the peaks of the Kipstone, the cliffs and splendid shores seem to be cut by magic. Because the Sakyamuni in the temple sits on the lotus seat, it is named Qinglian Temple and is a national key cultural relic protection unit. The temple is divided into two ancient temples and new temples. The new temple was named "Fuyan Temple" in the third year of Taiping Xingguo in Song Dynasty (978), and it was called Qinglian Temple in Ming Dynasty.Zezhou · 10.2km from downtown

Surrounded by green hills and beautiful scenery, the Qingtian River is clear and undulates through the landscape. The canyon through which the river flows is quiet and magnificent. Clear spring water flows from the mountains and visitors can occasionally catch a bit of dynamic vitality in this quiet environment with a glimpse of the local wild ducks or macaques. The scenic area has emerald mountains and jade green waters. The great trees and ancient temples have combine the elegance of a Jiangnan water town with the pastoral ambiance of Northern China. It is little wonder that this beautiful place is known as the "Northern Three Gorges.”Bo'ai · 22.6km from Zezhou

The Jade Emperor Temple Painted Sculpture and Mural Museum refers to the Jade Emperor Temple itself, specifically the Jade Emperor Temple in Zezhou, Jincheng, which is a national protected site (third batch). I always like to compare it to the Yongle Palace; both are national protected sites (third batch), equally impressive, and truly amazing! 👍 I live nearby and went twice, but I still couldn't get enough!

If you ask me when Qinglian Temple is most beautiful in all four seasons, I would definitely say autumn. That is because the ginkgo leaves turn yellow in autumn, and the entire temple is also exceptionally cool in autumn. Even if you walk up, you won't feel too hot.

I think the highlight of Jincheng Museum is not the number of cultural relics in its collection, nor the profound historical culture and the superior geographical location in ancient times. What impressed me most in Jincheng Museum were the volunteer tour guides. Although they spoke in dialect, they spared no effort in explaining. Especially the elderly people over 50 years old, they paid attention to interaction and listening. While explaining the historical anecdotes of the cultural relics, they also explained that the cultural relics in the museum specifically corresponded to the current geographical location of Jincheng, the traffic conditions, and how to get there as soon as possible. They mobilized the emotions and learning desire of us tourists very well. In many museums, I appreciate them by myself, and when I encounter tour guides, I cover myself for fear of being heard by others. This is the first time I have encountered such an open explanation like Jincheng, with interaction and discussion. It is great!

When you come to Shanxi, you will find that there is a Guandi Temple in every city or county, and the Guandi Temple located in Jincheng Prefecture is a well-known Guandi Temple in the process. It is also an important national treasure. The most worth seeing is its stone carvings.

The essence of the Jade Emperor Temple in Jincheng, Shanxi, lies in its Yuan Dynasty colored sculptures! Especially the statues in the Twenty-Eight Mansions Hall, which are unique in China. These masterpieces of the Yuan Dynasty personify the gods of the stars, with distinct personalities, vivid postures, flowing clothes, and lifelike, and have extremely high artistic value. The entire temple has a rigorous layout, and the Song, Jin, and Yuan Dynasty architecture and exquisite colored sculptures complement each other. It is a treasure house for studying ancient sculptures, architecture, and Taoist art. Although it is not the largest in scale, this group of peerless colored sculptures alone is absolutely not to be missed. It can be called a pearl in the history of ancient Chinese sculpture!

The scenic spot is very unique and shocking. The management is absolutely great, the route guidance is in place, there is free parking, and there are benches for you to sit and rest at any time while waiting in line. The only problem is that the viewing time is too short because the venue is too small. Only about 10 people can enter at a time, and the viewing time is 2-3 minutes.

Xiaozhai Catholic Church is located outside Zezhou City. Although it is not far from the urban area, there is no bus to get there. I had to hire a car to go back and forth. The price was 100 yuan, and I did not bargain. Unfortunately, I went there on a non-weekend day and the church was not open, so I returned empty-handed. I could only walk around the outside of the church. The church was built on a small slope. The exterior of the church is castle-like, with high walls and towers, which is very majestic. In the era of cold weapons, it can be called a solid fortress.
