Yulong Snow Mountain is one of Lijiang's famous attractions and a sacred mountain in the hearts of the Naxi people. It consists of 13 undulating peaks that resemble a dancing silver dragon, which is how it got its name. Within the attraction, visitors can take a cable car directly up the mountain to easily admire the magnificence of the high-altitude glacier, which is a highlight for many visitors coming here. Snow mountain overview Yulong Snow Mountain is renowned for being "dangerous, wondrous, beautiful, and elegant." From the foot to the summit, there are multiple tiers of views ranging from subtropical to temperate to frigid zones. At the foot of the mountain lies Ganhaizi, a vast pasture where gentians and azaleas bloom across the meadows in spring and summer. From here, the peaks of Yulong are clearly visible in the distance. Yunshanping, at an elevation of over 3,200 m, is a sacred place in the hearts of Naxi youth. It is a tranquil meadow surrounded by ancient towering trees and dense vines, creating a serene environment. Below the thirteen peaks of Yulong are 13 modern maritime glaciers, which from afar appear like a waterfall hanging overFanzi DouBelow, under the sunlight, it glistens with silver light. Tourists can take the large cableway to an altitude of 4506 m, and then follow the mountain boardwalk to view the glacier and the majestic main peak up close. Large cableway The attraction's popular cable car transports visitors from the lower station at Ganhaizi to the Glacier Park at an elevation of 4,506 m. After getting off the cable car, you can follow the wooden boardwalk laid out on the glacier all the way to the highest point at an elevation of 4,680 m, where you can experience the charm of the snow-capped mountains and glaciers up close. Spruce meadow cableway The lower station of the cableway is located at the foot of the snow mountain by the Baishui River, and can be reached by taking the attraction's eco-friendly bus. Dianchi Lake, also known asDianchi Lake, it is the sixth largest freshwater lake in China. The lake is vast and expansive, and most visitors to Kunming will come here to take a look. You can stroll along the lakeside, take a boat tour on the lake, and feed the birds in winter; you can also climb up to Dragon Gate to overlook Dianchi Lake, which is truly refreshing and uplifting. Dianchi Lake is located inXishanAt the foot, approx. 5 km from the city center, the northern end is adjacent to Daguan Park, Yunnan Nationalities Village andXishan ParkGazing across the water. In previous years, due to neglect of protection, blue-green algae overran the water, causing a rapid deterioration in water quality. In recent years, vigorous remediation efforts have begun, and the water quality has noticeably improved a great deal, and the black-headed gulls appearing by the lakeside can also be seen. To tour Dianchi Lake, you can take a walk along the sightseeing road on the east bank of Dianchi Lake. This road is very beautifully built. In winter, citizens often come here to feed the black-headed gulls, enjoying a harmonious and joyful time. Opposite the road isXishan Forest Park, right next to Dianchi Lake, heading toXishan Forest ParkThe cableway is right atDianchi LakeInside. Take the cableway directly toXishan Longmen, standLongmenAscending it, one commands a sweeping view: the entirety of Dianchi Lake, stretching five hundred li, unfolds before the eyes—a scene of boundless beauty. After walking along the sightseeing road, you can also conveniently stop byDianchi LakeExplore the Yunnan Nationalities Village on the north side to experience the diverse cultures of Yunnan's ethnic groups. Alternatively, at Daguan Park at the northern end of Dianchi Lake, take a cruise to enjoy the scenery of the lake. Yunzhou Ancient Street is a bridge built later with a layer of houses built on it. It can't be considered an ancient street. I went there once in winter and the wind in the river was quite cool. It is suitable for elderly friends to check in, play chess, exercise and chat!

I really liked this place because we stumbled upon it by chance after failing to visit Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Spruce Meadow. It's a very special and unique little village, and the good weather was a big plus.

Location: Haigeng Park/No. 16 Hubin Road ↔ Xishan Longmen (West Mountain Dragon Gate), not near the old street, you have to go to the Dianchi Lake area. Experience: Crossing the lake + climbing the mountain, about 20 minutes one way, views of Dianchi Lake, Sleeping Beauty Mountain, and city scenery, great for taking photos. Ticket Price: One way about 59-60 RMB, round trip about 98-100 RMB. Advantages: Easy for lazy people to climb West Mountain, no climbing required, unique views; seagulls in winter. Disadvantages: Stops during strong winds/thunderstorms; long queues during peak season; separate ticket/walking required for Longmen after climbing the mountain; don't confuse with the "Xishan Longmen Cableway". Conclusion: First time in Kunming, taking the Dianchi-Xishan route → worth it; if just exploring the old street → not worth a special trip.

The folk custom theater performance was alright and educational. The bonfire party initially seemed unremarkable; I kept wondering when the bonfire would be lit and I almost left, but the climax came at the end, so overall it was still quite good.

This is a great place for parents with children. If you're going alone, focus on the elephant show and performances. Because if you go from the high-altitude wooden walkway, you might not be able to see the elephants. My favorite parts were their small theater and the elephant show. Also, the elephant feeding experience. The highway is blocking the way, but the scenery is decent. Overall, as a 4A scenic area, it needs to add more entertainment value.

Be sure to go early, otherwise the traffic will be unbearable! It's a great attraction. We bought electric carts, rode them to the first section, and then slowly climbed back up. The route was manageable, with not too many steps, making it friendly to older people. This way, you can see the whole sight and save energy. We were worried about the hygiene of the hot springs, so we skipped it in the end, but we soaked our feet next to the giant boiling pot – it was incredibly relaxing and highly recommended! If you're not in a rush, you could easily soak for an hour! The electric carts down the mountain had a long queue, but they were fast. A must-visit in Tengchong!

The Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake scenic area is incredibly beautiful on a sunny day. The cable car station seems to be accessible only by taxi, but taxis in Dali are relatively inexpensive and convenient. Note that there's still a walk up the cable car, which some people might find a bit tiring. Overall, it's very cost-effective.

It's recommended to visit Xishuangbanna Primitive Forest Park in the morning to avoid the afternoon sun. Be sure to bring mosquito repellent, a sun hat, and non-slip sneakers, as there are many mosquitoes in the rainforest and the trails can be slippery. Don't miss the peacock release show; arrive early to secure a front-row spot. Do not touch wild animals, respect local customs, protect the rainforest vegetation, and stay on the designated trails for safety.
