The Luobu village is located in the southwest of Yuli County, about 35 kilometers away from the county seat. It used to be one of the villages of the Luobu People's Congress. Today, many buildings with the characteristics of the Luobu people have been built on the original basis to make a huge one that reflects the culture of the Luobu people. cultural tourism area. Here you can visit many buildings such as houses and altars of the Rob people. At the same time, there are deserts, Tarim River, Populus euphratica forest scenery, which can be viewed and entertained. It is an important scenic spot in Yuli County. The Luobu people are one of the ancient ethnic groups in Xinjiang. People live by fishing on the banks of the Tarim River. This nation has been isolated from other nations for thousands of years. It has a unique culture and folk customs, which is very mysterious. Nowadays, there are not many real Rob people. The scenic spot is a good place to understand the mysterious culture of the Rob people. The area of the scenic spot is very large. As soon as you enter the scenic spot, you can see the surrounding sand dunes and Gobi scenery. Tourists need to take a shuttle bus here to enter the village. The shuttle bus is not far away, and you can see many tall poplar trees along the way, and the scenery is desolate and magnificent. After entering the village, you can see the houses, wedding rooms, altars and other distinctive buildings of the Rob people, learn about the special folk customs of the Rob people, and watch the local Rob people singing and dancing performances. In addition to understanding the culture, the Tarim River and Goddess Lake in the scenic area are all beautiful. In the depths of the scenic spot is a desert, where tourists can experience camel riding, desert paragliding and many other entertainment items, and can also go boating and rowing in the desert lake, which is full of fun.Yuli · 35.1km from downtown

Taklimakan desert

The Taklimakan desert is known as the "Sea of Death" and is the world's tenth-largest desert, as well as a shifting desert. Among the world's great deserts, the Taklimakan desert is one of the most mysterious and attractive. The types of sand dunes in the desert are complex and diverse; the compound sand mountains and sand ridges resemble giant dragons coiled on the earth, while the pyramid-shaped dune groups dwarf the pyramids of Egypt in height and scale. Various honeycomb, feather-like, and fish-scale dunes are unpredictable and magnificent. During the day, the Taklimakan is scorching, with silver sands that dazzle the eyes, and surface temperatures sometimes reaching as high as 70–80°C. Intense evaporation makes surface scenery appear elusive, and desert travelers often see hazy, shimmering lakes in the distance, with clear water and swaying tree shadows—these are the "mirage" illusions of the Taklimakan desert. The desert features two tall, distinct red and white sand dunes known as "Holy Tomb Mountain," which are composed of red sandstone and white gypsum, respectively. The wind-eroded mushrooms on Holy Tomb Mountain are uniquely spectacular, standing about 5m tall, with huge caps that can accommodate more than 10 people. The Tarim Desert Highway is a grand project that conquered the "Sea of Death." This is the route typically taken by general tourists crossing the Taklimakan desert. Adventurers, however, choose two routes for a true expedition, starting (or ending) in Yutian or Karakax and ending (or starting) in Aksu. Of these two routes, the Yutian Daheyuan line is extremely difficult.Yuli · 83.2km from downtown

Our day tour in Korla was led by Mr. Liu, a local resident familiar with the local culture. He was a skilled driver, obeyed speed limits, and drove very steadily. He even went hungry himself to accommodate everyone's decision to eat in the city. He also provided local fragrant pears for everyone and helped accommodate those who didn't want to try off-road driving. Tomorrow we will continue with our company's day tour packages.

Because of the Tianshan Victory Tunnel, I specifically chose Tata Secret Realm to see the poplar trees. Compared to the poplar trees in Luntai, which I visited before, the management here is much better. There are wooden boardwalks, a boat dock, and a well-designed tourist route. The most stunning part is the scenery. The poplar trees are concentrated along the road into the scenic area, which mainly consists of lakes and sand dunes—perfect for taking photos. Highly recommended.

The Taklamakan Desert, located in the center of the Tarim Basin in southern Xinjiang, is the largest desert in China and one of the top ten shifting sand deserts in the world. Most of the desert is covered by undulating, shifting sand dunes, making stable surface runoff rare and resulting in a perennially arid climate.

Entering the Lop Nur Grand Canyon, you'll find steep, jagged walls forming a deep, underground labyrinth. Surrounding you are Yardang landforms, with rocks sculpted by 100 million years of geological erosion into various shapes. Some look like ancient human heads, some like toads, some like chicken heads, and some like fish mouths! It's absolutely stunning! Just let your imagination run wild!

This is a place worth visiting. It still retains its original flavor and scenery. Whether it is the desert, lake view or poplar forest, it can form a beautiful picture. The most important thing is that there are not so many tourists, so you can quietly enjoy the beautiful scenery.

20230725 afternoon: 1. The southern section of "Goddess Lake" is located in the 4A scenic spot "Lobu Village". Lobu Village is an original Lobu theme cultural park, with large and small desert lakes scattered all over the place, commonly known as "Lop Nur", gathering oasis, poplar forest, Taklimakan Desert, Goddess Lake, Tarim River and other different landforms. It is a good place for sightseeing photography, desert entertainment and cultural experience. The scenic area is divided into four major areas: Lobu Cultural Exhibition Hall, Abudan Square, Desert Area, and Goddess Lake. The scenic area is the filming location of TV series such as "China Exploration", "The Great Protector of the Western Regions", and "Anarhan". ① Address: No. 53, Forestry Bureau, Bayingu West Road, Yuli County, Bayingol Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. ② Transportation: No public transportation, easy to park by car. ③ Peak season: In autumn, the poplar forest is golden, and the hottest season has passed. ④ Time: 4 hours. 2. On the big screen in the visitor center, the beautiful scenery of golden poplar trees dotted in the desert oasis in autumn is played in a loop. However, it is summer now and most of the poplar trees are green leaves, so you can only feast your eyes on the screen. Below the screen is a sand table model map of the core area of the scenic area, which is more intuitive. 3. You need to take a sightseeing bus to Shennv Lake. The 10-minute drive is not short. There are yachts piled in many small lakes along the way. Shennv Lake is a relatively large lake. According to legend, in ancient times, Paride, the daughter of Burke (the clan leader) of Luobu Village, fell in love with a guy from a neighboring village. Her family disagreed. Later, the Tarim River dried up. Burke promised the guy that he would agree to the marriage if he could find a water source. The guy went up the river, and the river finally flowed again, but he had no news. Paride never married and turned into this lake. The recreational projects in this area are basically the same as those in the desert area just now, with unique landscapes: ① Canoe: The canoe docked on the shore is called "Kapen" by the Luobu people. It is made of a whole poplar wood and can be taken on a boat. It is a must-check-in photo spot for the petty bourgeoisie. ② Wild small fish: Very small, gray, visible to the naked eye on the lakeshore. There are flying fish (fish used for authentic Luobu grilled fish), carp, grass carp, Wuchang fish, catfish and other fish in the river here. ③ Totem: A simulated large bonfire with very special totem poles erected around it. ④ Lakeside wooden plank road: A wooden plank road with a sunshade, so you won't be exposed to the sun when walking. The long wooden plank road rises and falls with the sand dunes. It is a photo spot in itself and a good place to take photos.

I went there during the National Day holiday in 2025. Maybe because it is a niche scenic spot, the road is not repaired. There are about 14 kilometers of sandy and gravel board roads. Off-road vehicles are ok, but small cars have to drive slower. There is no shuttle bus in the scenic area. You can buy a self-driving ticket at the gate and drive to the canyon and then walk into the canyon for a tour. You can also spend 200 yuan an hour to take a desert off-road vehicle tour provided by the scenic spot. The scenery is similar to the Tianshan Grand Canyon on the Duku Highway. If you have been there, you can choose not to come here because flying drones is not allowed in the military management area!

Rare! It snowed in the Taklimakan Desert On November 28, 2021, the Taklimakan Desert in Yuli County, Xinjiang, ushered in snowfall. The endless sand dunes seemed to be covered with silver, and clouds and mists were entwined in the sky. The desert, poplar trees, and lakes appeared and disappeared from time to time, just like a fairy tale world. Snowfall in the Taklimakan Desert is relatively rare, so it attracts many photography enthusiasts to go there for field trips.
