Ge's Fairy Village

Ge's fairy village is located in Yanshan County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. It was invested and constructed by Xinbang Group in June 2016, with a total investment exceeding 1.569 billion yuan. Backed by the thousand-year-old Taoist mountain Ge's Fairy Mountain, it aims to become "a new landmark of Jiangxi tourism." The project is divided into two phases, with a planned construction area of approx. 300,000 square meters. The core attraction area covers 650 mu, including three main sections: the distribution center area, Ge's Fairy Village resort, and the Tianjing Terrace attraction. Future development will continue to expand outward along the valley. Ge's fairy village is developed around the Ge's fairy mountain attraction, inspired by the cultivation stories of immortal Ge Xuan on the mountain. It integrates the cultural essence of Taoism with classical landscape painting aesthetics, recreating the mountain village scene where Ge Xuan lived and practiced during the late Han dynasty. Using water, bamboo, and village as creative elements, it aims to create a natural sanctuary and fairy village combining eco-tourism, leisure vacations, business conferences, and Taoist cultural experiences. Introduction to attractions in Ge's fairy village Yuánfāng - Heaven and earth hidden in the mountains and forests The name "Elements" is derived from the Taoist concept of "the sky is round and the earth is square." The bronze compass within Elements, meticulously crafted by renowned artists, embodies the Taoist understanding and profound mastery of the universe's principles. The overall design follows the concept of a "vanishing building," featuring a facade of glass mirrors and bamboo. From a distance, the glass mirrors reflect the natural scenery of the mountains, making the structure appear hidden within the forest. Without careful observation, one might easily overlook the building and the hidden paradise behind it. Zhongmiao pavilion - profound and mysterious, both real and illusory Zhongmiao pavilion is the highest point of the attraction, featuring an ancient architectural structure. The main building stands 26 m tall with a three-story, four-pillar pure wood design. Pavilions are typically used for storing books or enshrining deities, which adds more cultural significance to this structure. In the evening, the solemn and magnificent Zhongmiao Pavilion show takes place here, where the combination of modern technological lighting and ancient architecture creates a dreamlike and visually stunning experience. Culture has a long history The ancestral hall square mainly consists of the jiao altar at the center and the Ge Weng ancestral hall. The jiao altar is a place for capping, wedding, and sacrificial ceremonies. It served as the venue for ancient capping rites, wedding ceremonies, and rituals praying to deities. Traditional folk cultural performances are staged in the central area of the ancestral hall square. Dust-washing gate·Emerald pool - Wash away the mundane Under the moonlight, seekers perform the traditional Taoist greeting, embracing the path of Taoism. The "gate of purification," crafted with mist curtain installations, presents a mesmerizing interplay of light and shadow amidst ethereal fog, cleansing worldly dust from those who journey from afar. Water curtain film - magnificent and breathtaking The water stage at Zhongmiao Pavilion presents a grand live-action water screen movie every evening, where the fusion of water screens and light creates a dazzling visual feast. Performers dance to the rhythm of alternately intense and soothing music, bringing to life a series of dramatic legendary tales from a flourishing era. China town artifact culture museum - A long history of town artifact culture The China town artifact culture museum is located at the entrance of Lingbao Fairy Street, featuring horse-head walls that showcase the distinctive Huizhou architectural style. Inside, visitors can explore China's ancient town artifact culture through exhibition areas, retail zones, and workshop sections, gaining a deeper understanding of this cultural heritage while admiring historical artifacts.

Xiamen Botanical Garden is located in Wanshi Mountain and built around the Wanshi Rock Reservoir (now Wanshi Lake). The lake and mountain scenery within the garden complement the lush vegetation, forming the famous Xiamen attraction "Wanshi Hancui." The botanical garden features multiple specialized exhibition areas organized by plant category, among which the rainforest world and the succulent plant area are particularly outstanding. The rainforest world, while preserving the original natural vegetation, has introduced a large number of tropical rainforest plants, displaying rainforest characteristics such as strangler figs, cauliflory, and buttress roots. In addition, a misting system fills the forest with water vapor, making visitors feel as if they are walking through a fairyland. The succulent plant area includes three indoor exhibition halls—the cactus exhibition hall, the succulent plant exhibition hall, and the forest-dwelling succulent plant exhibition hall—as well as an outdoor exhibition area simulating a desert environment. It has collected thousands of succulent species, and its variety of cacti ranks among the top of similar domestic exhibition halls, with the tall Wulun columns and golden barrel cactus clusters being quite spectacular. The gymnosperm area gathers rare tree species such as golden larch, cedar, Norfolk Island pine, and the so-called living fossils metasequoia and ginkgo. In addition to the botanical scenery, the garden is also dotted with numerous cultural relics. "Taiping Stone Laugh," naturally formed by four huge boulders into the shape of an "open-mouthed laugh," is one of the twenty famous attractions of Xiamen; the walls of the Changxiao Cave on the hill behind Tianjie Temple are inscribed with poems by Ming dynasty generals who campaigned against Japanese pirates, and the site is a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit; historical remains such as Wanshi Lian Temple, the New Stele Forest, and the ancient Qiaoxi Bridge each have their own charm. Not far from the main entrance at the West Gate is the Norfolk Island pine lawn, from which visitors can conveniently reach the major scenic areas.

The Zhonggu Cableway is an elevated sightseeing cable car spanning the Wanshi mountains in Xiamen. Its lower station is located near the west gate of Xiamen botanical garden and the Zhonggu Mountain tunnel entrance. The route passes the botanical garden, Huxi Rock, and Hongshan area, extending all the way to the Wulao Peak behind Nanputuo temple, covering over 1,000 m in total. The cable car features semi-open two-person gondolas without window panes, offering unobstructed views where mountain breezes brush past your face. Once seated, you'll be suspended above layers of greenery and city rooftops. The round-trip itinerary takes approx. 40 mins. Upon reaching the terminal station, the train returns along the same route without requiring transfers. From this elevated vantage point, you can take in Xiamen's mountains, sea, and cityscape all at once: below lies the lush forest and rugged rocks of the botanical garden, while a turn of the head reveals the temple eaves of Nanputuo temple. In the distance, Gulangyu island, the twin towers, and the open sea unfold in sequence—on clear days, you can even spot the islands toward Kinmen. Along the way, the train passes original wartime tunnels and wind-eroded boulders, adding a touch of historical ambiance to this aerial journey. For a more enjoyable experience, you may choose the departure time slot around sunset when the sea and city skyline under the evening glow make for particularly stunning photos. This time slot is often in high demand. The cable car baskets are open on all sides, so travelers who are sensitive to wind should pick a clear and less windy day. The cable car may suspend operations in case of strong winds, thunderstorms, or other adverse weather conditions. It is advisable to check the day's situation before departure.

Gaoyiling Tourist Area

5.3k reviews

Gaoyiling Tourist Area is a natural attraction centered on Danxia landforms. Unlike many Danxia views that feature only mountains without water, this area's red cliffs and crimson rock faces are dotted with emerald pools, and the lake at the foot of the hills is as clear as jade. Viewed from above, dark green pools encircle the crimson ridges, often vividly likened to a "heavenly lake" embracing an "octopus," with the contrast between red and green creating a highly distinctive scene. The attraction's trail runs along the mountain ridge, with the core highlights concentrated at several spots: Dragon's Back Ridge, Monitor Lizard Lake, and the cliffside plank walkway. Dragon's Back Ridge is a narrow ridge at the top of the mountain, with sheer cliffs on both sides; walking along it offers a panoramic view of the Danxia landscape, and it is also a popular photo spot. Monitor Lizard Lake takes its name from a Danxia rock formation in the lake that resembles a monitor lizard lying in wait; during the dry season the rock's full outline is revealed, vivid and lifelike. The cliffside plank walkway is built against the cliff face, with a deep canyon below, leading to a sliver of sky — stone walls press in on both sides, and at the narrowest point only two people can squeeze through sideways. The Hundred-Step Sky Ladder is a steep flight of stone steps, and after reaching the top the view opens up wide. The tour route follows the ridge trail as its main line, with little shade along the way and strong sun exposure. Danxia elements such as mountains, waters, springs, caves, villages, cliffs, and flatlands are all present here; among them, "flatland" is the local term for flat areas atop Danxia peaks, and the Meili Flat area is planted with bamboo groves, serving as a rest stop along the hike.

1. If you just want to sightsee and take some photos, entering from the west gate is sufficient. 2. I only visited the main areas, the rainforest and succulents. I didn't take the tour bus; it's a very gentle uphill, flat path, you can walk there easily. 3. The rainforest is misted from 9 am to 11 am, which makes it easier to photograph the Tyndall effect. You don't necessarily need to arrive early, as the misting is continuous, so it doesn't matter what time you arrive. 4. There's also a greenhouse near the succulents area.

Night Tour of Tingjiang River: A Light and Shadow Feast Through Time and Space As night fell and the lights came on, I had the honor of experiencing the Night Tour of Tingjiang River in Tingzhou Ancient City, Changting County, Longyan City. It was an unforgettable journey. Starting from Huijimen Wharf, I took a pleasure boat and slowly sailed into the embrace of Tingjiang River. The river surface was sparkling, and the lights on both sides of the river and the stars in the sky complemented each other, as if I was in a flowing painting. As the pleasure boat moved forward, I appreciated the cultural charm of Song Ci's pleasure boat, the magnificence of Jichuan Gate, the tranquility and beauty of Longtan Park, and the warm atmosphere of Mother's Square. Night Tour of Tingjiang River is not only a visual feast, but also a spiritual baptism. In the busy pace of life, such a quiet night trip gave me the opportunity to slow down and feel the historical precipitation and cultural heritage of the ancient city. The tour guide on the pleasure boat was vivid and interesting, which gave me a deeper understanding of the history and culture of Tingjiang River. It is particularly worth mentioning that the ticket price for the night tour of Tingjiang River is very affordable, and the ticket purchase method is also very convenient. Whether adults or students, you can find your own fun here. In addition, the service of the scenic spot is also very thoughtful, and the staff is warm and friendly, which makes me feel the warmth of home. In general, the night tour of Tingjiang River is a very recommended travel experience. It not only allows me to appreciate the beautiful scenery of Tingjiang River, but also allows me to feel the cultural charm of the ancient city. If you also want a unique night trip, then why not come to Tingzhou Ancient City and experience a wonderful trip to the night tour of Tingjiang River! I believe you will be like me,

The scenery is beautiful, featuring Danxia landforms rarely seen in northern China. However, it gets extremely sunny at midday, so it's best to avoid visiting around noon. Going earlier, before noon, will allow you to see most of the sights. Alternatively, go after 2 PM, as there's less shade in the area.

Wugong Mountain truly lives up to its reputation! Ten thousand acres of alpine meadows stretch along the mountain ridge, offering expansive and soothing views. Reaching the Golden Summit, you might encounter a sea of clouds drifting across the mountainside, and the sunrise is breathtakingly atmospheric. While the Hero's Slope and Despair Slope are physically demanding, standing atop the peak overlooking the continuous mountain range instantly dispels all fatigue. The trails are well-maintained, and the cable car is less strenuous, making it suitable for hiking enthusiasts—a truly worthwhile mountain destination!
