Things to do in Pingtung

It's worth a whole day's play. We hired a car and the driver was very enthusiastic. He introduced all the way and took the initiative to take photos. I was very tired after a day's play, but I was also very happy. I hope that cross-strait connectivity can be realized soon so that I can go again.

Fo Guang Temple, located on Fo Guang Mountain in the suburbs of Kaohsiung City, is a famous Buddhist resort, known as the "Buddhist Capital of Taiwan". It is the most orthodox Buddhist temple with the most complete facilities among the countless Buddhist temples I have seen. Fo Guang Mountain, where Fo Guang Temple is located, is also a holy mountain that is truly illuminated by the Buddha's light. This mountain is composed of five small peaks shaped like lotus petals in the Buddha Kingdom, and the terrain has the characteristics of the Buddha's Pure Land. The forest on the mountain is dense and deep, the ancient trees are towering and shrouded in smoke, the purple air slowly crosses the mountain, and the auspicious air floats quietly in the forest. The majestic and sparse Fo Guang Temple stands quietly in this elegant and pure land, appearing particularly solemn and sacred.

Perfect, Serene Experience for Families and Seniors! This tour is incredibly elderly-friendly. I traveled with my mother, and she felt very comfortable throughout the trip. The service was homely, and the boat itself has plenty of seating with a stable, smooth ride. A huge highlight was the atmosphere—there was no loud, blasting music, making it a very serene way to enjoy the river. Our guide was very informative, sharing the interesting history of the Love River as we passed landmarks like the illuminated Kaohsiung Music Center and the Great Harbor Bridge.​Tip: If you are a couple looking for a private, romantic vibe, the gondolas might be better. I visited on October 5, 2012. Guanshan is located southwest of Hengchun Township. Beyond it lies the ocean, making it an excellent vantage point for watching the sunset. Guanshan isn't particularly high, and the path to the observation deck is relatively flat. I saw many elderly people climbing the mountain to watch the sunset. The observation deck isn't just a large flat surface, so there's always a perfect viewing and photographic angle. Guanshan overlooks the deep blue ocean, making the sunsets here truly beautiful.

Kenting Baisha Bay is famous for its white and fine sand and clear blue water. It is one of the most representative beaches in Kenting. The beach here is as soft as a white velvet blanket. Walking on it is like walking on the clouds. The warm sea breeze blows on your face, bringing a touch of coolness. The sea water is clear and the waves gently beat the shore. It is suitable for swimming, snorkeling or just quietly enjoying the sun on the beach. The sunset in Baisha Bay is particularly charming. The orange-red sun slowly sinks into the horizon, and the whole beach is illuminated by warm light, forming a beautiful picture. Whether it is a couple, family, or a gathering of friends, it can provide an ideal place to relax and enjoy nature. The surrounding facilities are also very complete. Visitors can taste seafood delicacies in nearby restaurants, or rent water sports equipment and experience exciting water sports such as surfing and sailing. Easily spent an hour wandering inside this museum. A peaceful space with wonderful culture. Strongly recommended!

This place is located between the Eluanpi and the ecological reserve area of Longkeng. After 10 minutes of walking on the stone pavement trail after the parking place, you will reach the stone monument of Taiwan Southernmost Point.

One of the night markets with the best atmosphere along the road. I guess it has around 100 stalls with different kinds of local street food, all tasted so good

A large-scale stadium in Kaohsiung was built for the 2009 World Games. The stadium looks like a winding dragon. The environment around the stadium is also good, like a big park!
