Desert Botanical Garden is a themed botanical garden focused on the display and conservation of desert plants, spanning approx. 140 acres, featuring over 50,000 plants from global desert habitats, covering more than 4,000 taxa, including hundreds of rare or endangered species. The garden's history dates back to the 1930s, established through the efforts of local plant conservation advocates, and officially opened at its current site in 1939, with the original intention of changing the prejudice that the Sonoran Desert was a barren wasteland. The Webster Auditorium, built in the same year, has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The tour route is structured around five themed trails: the Desert Discovery Trail focuses on iconic plants such as saguaro cacti and agave; the "Sonoran Desert People and Plants" trail connects indigenous culture with the history of desert plants; the Wildflower Loop Trail presents rare, vibrant colors in the desert during the spring blooming season; there are also the Center for Desert Living Trail, which focuses on more sustainable gardening, and the Nature Loop Trail, which offers views overlooking the Papago Buttes. Nearly 1,000 saguaro cacti are scattered throughout the garden, some reaching heights of over 10m, with upright forms, making them the most recognizable plant view in the Sonoran Desert and a long-term focus of the garden's conservation efforts.United States · Phoenix

Giant's Column National Park is located near Tucson, Arizona, USA. It was established in 1933 to protect the growing giant saguaro forest, hence the name of the park. The park covers an area of 368 square kilometers and is divided into two parts, east and west. The park is mostly desert terrain, mountain cactus forest and pine forest, which is a good place to enjoy desert scenery. There are three major highlights in the park: canyon overlooking, cactus forest driving and desert ecological tracking. The cactus forests are mostly scattered on the rocky slopes at the base of the desert mountains in the park, and the giant Saguaro cacti do not bloom until late May or early June. Although the park is dominated by Saguaro, it is also home to many species of plants, including hedgehog cacti, prickly pears, fusiform Mexican prickly wood, the ubiquitous creosote, and the famous thorny Jolia cactus.United States · Pima County

This place is not far from the Grand Canyon. We passed by here on the way to Phoenix and stopped by to take a look. There is a very large meteorite crater with a popular science documentary inside. It is quite good to bring children to visit. In fact, quite a lot of foreign tourists bring their children here.

Petrified Forest National Park feels like walking through deep time. The colorful badlands, the painted desert vistas, and crystalized logs create a surreal landscape that is both peaceful and awe inspiring. Ancient trees turned to stone tell stories of a prehistoric world, while the silence invites reflection. Short trails and scenic drives make it easy to explore, yet every stop feels unique. Sunrise and sunset paint the rocks with shifting colors, perfect for photography. The park is uncrowded compared to others, allowing quiet moments with nature. It is a remarkable blend of geology, history, and beauty for all visitors today.
