Lake Kinrin

Oita Funai Castle Ruins

There's a direct bus from Oita Airport to the park, but it only runs once a day in the morning. It was so hot that we only went on a few rides before leaving. The rides were okay, but they were geared towards younger children. We also had lunch there.

[Scenery] A very cheap observatory at Beppu Tower, you can climb it for 200 yen, but the facilities are very dilapidated
[Fun] It may be more historical, but you can enjoy the environment of Beppu Beach, which is worth the price

It is a very beautiful town that is integrated with nature🥰🥰
Take a walk by Lake Kinrin while looking at the Yufuin Mountains.
Then eat the famous local half-cooked cheesecake
Very leisurely and a good place to travel with the whole family🥰🥰

There are no buildings in this castle. At first glance, it looks like an empty castle, with only low, shapeless city walls. There is still a moat, but its defensive function is quite weak. It is too far away from Osaka Castle.

There's no doubt that children will enjoy the large play equipment and water play. It's also very spacious, so it's great for taking a walk.

Take a bus from Beppu Station to the Cable Car Kogen Station, a journey of about half an hour. The first cable car runs at 9:00 AM, so it's recommended to arrive at the Cable Car Kogen Station by 8:50 AM. By then, you'll be able to line up for the cable car, and the first ride will be less crowded.
The views from the mountain are stunning, offering panoramic views of Beppu city and the Yufuin area.
We recommend allowing about an hour and a half to enjoy the scenery.
