Things to do in Ningxiang

I spent two days during summer vacation visiting Fantawild Adventure in Zhuzhou and Changsha. Each had its own unique features, and the attractions were somewhat similar. The mythological-themed buildings were quite novel, and I felt that Fantawild Adventure in Changsha was better.

Huaminglou is located in the southeast of Ningxiang County, Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, on the banks of the Jinjiang River. It borders Yuelu District in the northeast, Xiangtan City and Xiangxiang City in the southwest, 20 kilometers east of the provincial capital Changsha, 30 kilometers south of Mao Zedong's hometown Shaoshan, and 34 kilometers west of the county seat. The Comrade Liu Shaoqi Memorial Hall built in Huaminglou Tourist Area for the former residence of the revolutionary great man and the late former president is one of the national patriotism education bases and a national 5A-level tourist attraction.

The hotel is big. Although it is quite old, you can see that the texture is very good. The hygiene is also very clean and attentive. The staff is very warm and friendly. They helped us upgrade the room for free during the off-season. The stay is very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is soft. My partner ate very solid and was happy. Because it was rainy, some hot springs were not open, but later tourists came and quickly filled up some recreational pools and hot springs. I think it is also super good to go in summer🎉. It takes 1.5 hours from Changsha to get off the highway and arrive at the hotel in a few minutes. The signposts are also very clear and the uncle in the parking lot is also very enthusiastic.

I am very happy to visit the former residence of Comrade Liu Shaoqi. The scenery here is also very beautiful. The former residence of Liu Shaoqi is located in this beautiful scenery. It can be said to be a place of great talent and beauty! The statue of Comrade Liu Shaoqi is 7.1 meters high, which not only symbolizes that Liu Shaoqi lived for 71 years, but also symbolizes that Liu Shaoqi made great contributions to the cause of the party. The only regret is that I was unable to visit the Memorial Hall of Comrade Liu Shaoqi, because I went there on Monday and the memorial hall was closed for one day. In the former residence of Liu Shaoqi, I saw the table where Liu Shaoqi used to read, the bedroom where he slept, and the room where the village cadres held meetings. I also felt that the great man would rather be simple and care about the people. The Huaminglou scenic area next to it is also very beautiful. I saw the plane that Liu Shaoqi had taken during his lifetime. In Huaminglou, each floor displays photos and brief introductions of historical celebrities in Hunan Province, such as Wang Fuzhi, Zeng Guofan, Zuo Zongtang, etc. Not only do you know which celebrities are from Hunan Province, but you also like the talents in Hunan Province!

The beautiful Zilongwan Hot Springs open-air area spans 30,000 square meters, embracing the Xiaoxiang ecological culture and fusion of wellness and recreation. The hot springs are infused with angelica, ginger, mugwort, rose, lemon, lily, and other ingredients, offering a diverse range of wellness and wellness experiences. The hot springs contain 29 rare trace elements and minerals, reaching a peak temperature of 102°C. They are known for their therapeutic benefits for chronic ailments such as blood circulation and the nervous system, earning them the reputation of "holy water" and "sacred spring." Visit the thousand-year-old Miyin Temple in Kathmandu, where you can worship the "Holy Statue of Great Compassionate Guanyin" and experience the wonders of this holy temple. Driving yourself is difficult; you buy tickets at the ticket office, go to the pier, and take a boat into the cave. It's about a three-minute boat ride to the dock. The cave tour is about an hour on foot; it's very cool. The uphill climb out of the cave is quite steep and requires some stamina. There are guides providing explanations, but I didn't think it was necessary. Most of the explanations were clear from the pictures, but it's best not to stray from the group. I was a little scared, so taking photos wasn't ideal; I was worried about blocking the way if I was ahead, and getting lost if I was behind.

Huilong Mountain is lush with trees and beautiful scenery. It is also a holy place for fortune-telling. The fortune-telling at Baiyun Temple is very effective, and there are professional fortune-telling masters to answer your questions. The holy water of Longyin Waterfall flows continuously, and there are sweet love seats under the waterfall. Sitting for a while on a hot day can also relieve sweat and heat. In general, it is a good place worth visiting!

There were no assigned seats, so you could sit anywhere. We spent most of our time on the third deck enjoying the view and taking photos. Although it was very hot outside, there was a breeze on both sides of the deck, so it wasn't too bad. There were karaoke machines and vendors selling snacks and drinks on both the second and third decks. The air conditioning on the second deck was very strong. We arrived at the pier half an hour early, and there was already a queue.

I visited Tongguan Kiln National Style Park during the National Day holiday. The antique courtyards were truly charming, with the atmosphere of old houses everywhere. Standing anywhere felt like stepping back in time. It was packed with people; all I could see were heads. Around 7 PM, people slowly started flocking to the water show square. There were poetry recitations, a massive sing-along, and a thousand lanterns for blessings. Around 8 PM, the iron flower display started, along with fireworks and a water show. At night, the ancient town, illuminated by the fireworks, looked even more dreamlike.
