Notre Dame de Nice is the larger Christian church in Nice, very similar in appearance to Notre Dame de Paris. The church has a gorgeous appearance, with its gilded exterior walls and sculptures, as well as its 65-meter-high square twin towers. The church's stained rose window tells the story of the ascension of the Virgin Mary. The church was designed by Louis Lenormand and built from 1864 to 1868, inspired by the Cathedral of Angers, in Gothic style.
