Marina Bay Park Miri boasts the closest open beach to the city center, less than a kilometer north to south, facing the sea to the west. The sea breeze and rolling waves offer a perfect spot to linger and enjoy the natural scenery.
As I strolled along the shore, I saw red frangipani (Plumeria rubra), Terminalia catappa (Terminalia catappa, a species commonly planted in coastal areas due to its salt tolerance and adaptation to seaside environments), sisal (Agave sisalana), quince (Agave sisalana, an upright shrub belonging to the Asclepiadaceae family), and ornamental trees.
