Loboc River

The green Loboc River flows quietly through Bohol Island, with dense vegetation covering both banks. Deep in the riverside jungles lies the habitat of various mysterious animals. Such pristine tropical scenery inevitably brings the Amazon River to mind, which is perhaps why it has earned the title of the "Amazon of the East." Cruising the river is widely considered the best way to experience the charm of the Loboc River. Drifting along the quiet waters, you can enjoy the tropical rainforest scenery while observing the unique traditional houses on both banks and feeling the authentic local culture. Perhaps as you pass by, beautiful local girls are playing guitars, singing, and dancing on bamboo platforms by the river, while a mischievous child sits in a tall coconut tree on the bank, waving at you. The end of the boat trip is an indigenous village, where you can go ashore to watch performances like archery, jumping through fire hoops, and fire-eating. Most people who come here participate in a Loboc River cruise, which lasts about 1 hour. The boat departs from Loay Bridge in the southwest of Bohol Island and travels upstream to Busay Falls in the center of the island; this sightseeing route is particularly popular with tourists. The boat offers a hearty and authentic Filipino meal, where you can taste local delicacies such as fresh grouper, squid, and shrimp. During the cruise, local singers will play guitars and sing classic English songs on board, which is quite relaxing.Sevilla · 13.5km from Loay

Chocolate Hills is located in the center of Bohol Island in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines and is one of the island's iconic natural views. This area features thousands of cone-shaped hills of similar form spread across a vast area; they vary in height and size, creating a unique, rolling view. It is primarily composed of ancient marine limestone, which has gradually formed the current karst landscape through long-term weathering, erosion, and dissolution. The surface of the hills is mostly covered with herbaceous vegetation, which appears a vibrant green during the rainy season; in the dry season, the grass gradually turns brown, and the hills take on a brownish hue, resembling chocolate scattered across the land, which is how it got its name.Bohol Island · 29.1km from Loay

The mahogany forest is located near the Chocolate Hills, a sheep intestine path in Bohol Province, Bohol Island. The path is full of mahogany trees. This is a man-made forest. During the Second World War, in order to avoid the war, a large number of local people fled into the forest, which made the deforestation of the Luobo River Basin quite serious. The local government established the Luobo River Basin Afforestation Project (LWRP) in 1947. Promote greening and planting artificial forests. After decades of hard work, this dense forest is lined with trees, the air is fresh, and there are tree-lined paths in the middle of the forest. It should be very pleasant to walk around here.Loboc · 10.8km from Loay

It is generally believed that this Baccaron Church, which worships the Virgin Mary, is a very old church in the Philippines. Although in the 19th century, the Augustinian church added a modern gate in front of the Baccaron church and added some stone buildings around it, making his appearance slightly different from that of the year, in this area, it is still a Jesuit priest The built churches are well preserved. As early as 1595, Baccaron was a stronghold of the Spanish Jesuit missionaries, but was soon forced to move inland to the Ropa area. It was not until 1717 that Baccaron became a parish and a new church was built. At that time, about 200 local migrant workers were forced to build the church with coral stones. They obtained coral from the sea, cut cubes as bricks, and used bamboo to move these "bricks", and used millions of eggs as adhesives. . The present building was completed in 1727. There is also a museum in the church, which collects many religious relics, including vestments made of gold thread, and Latin church music lyrics written on sheepskin. The church is proud of the peculiar ceiling frescoes and the intricately carved ancient confessional room. Choose a sunny time to enter, and the ground will reflect beautiful colored glaze light and shadow, which is very charming.Bohol Island · 11.4km from Loay

Loboc River Cruise is the best river cruise in the philippines. It's a complete package of entertainment, live music and dance and unlimited buffet foods to soothe both local and international tongue. 1000/10 although it got a bit pricey nowadays, I'd still recommend!

The dolphin watching was good in the morning. No turtles were seen and the water was very turbid. The coral garden was OK. Lunch was 500 pesos per person, more than 60 RMB, more expensive than the hotel. Changing clothes in the toilet and washing with a scoop was charged another 100 pesos. Considering the three hours round trip, it was not worth it.

The Tarsier conservation area is really worth a visit. Seeing these beautiful creatures up close really is a treat. The guides show you where to go so as not to disturb them. The lobby has a short video playing with information on tarsiers. The guides will also help take pictures of you with the tarsiers. Its definitely worth a visit. Its also 2minutes away from the man-made forest. Tips: Be quiet so you don't disturb the tasiers.
