Kauai is located at the northern end of the Island of Hawai'i, is the fourth largest island in the archipelago, and is also a geologically ancient island. Years of erosion by wind and rain have left the mountains rounded and lush. The island is covered in dense tropical rainforests and crisscrossed by river valleys, with waterfalls hidden within, earning it the nickname "Garden Isle." The Waimea Canyon on the west side is known as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific," with reddish-brown rock walls layered with green vegetation; the Na Pali Coast on the north shore is famous for its nearly vertical, emerald-green sea cliffs. Roads do not reach this area, so to experience it up close, you can only take a boat, a helicopter, or hike the Kalalau Trail. Mount Waialeale in the center of the island has abundant rainfall and is one of the wettest places on Earth, giving rise to valleys full of rainforests and chains of waterfalls. The movie "Jurassic Park" was also filmed on the island. The island offers activities across sea, land, and air: taking a helicopter to overlook the canyons and sea cliffs is a signature local experience, offering views of waterfalls inaccessible by land; kayaking on the Wailua River to the Fern Grotto, cycling slowly along the east coast bike paths, snorkeling at Poipu Beach, or experiencing ziplining and horseback riding in the lush valleys are all well-established activities on the island.Kauai · 21.9km from Koloa

Pop Beach Park is located on the southern tip of Kauai and is one of the most famous beaches on Kauai. The beach is not overly commercialized, with crystal clear waters and clean sand. In addition, there are only 1,000 Hawaiian monk seals left in the world living here. They will lie lazily on the beach to rest or swim in the sea.Poipu · 1.5km from downtown

Koloa Ancient Town is located on the south coast of Kauai Island and is a very famous tourist destination. At first, the town rose because of the sugar industry, and it still retains the ancient style. Here, you can feel the charm of the small town in Hawaii.Koloa · 509m from downtown

The Horn Fountain is located on Poipu Beach on the south coast of Kauai, Hawaii, and has always been a popular attraction on Kauai. After the lava from the volcanic eruption cooled on the seaside, it formed a reef along the beach. There were natural stone caves on the reef. When the waves beat, high water columns would be ejected from the caves, thus forming a natural fountain. The fountain erupted. It makes sounds similar to boos and roars, hence the name of the Horn Fountain. Not only can you see wonders like natural fountains here, but it is also a good place to watch the sunset.Kauai · 3.5km from Koloa

Shipwreck Beach is located on the south coast of Kauai, with a towering cliff to the right of the beach, making it a great viewing point for everyone to enjoy the sunset. In winter, the coast becomes a place for whales and rare animal monk seals to play, and if you are lucky, you can see them on the shore. To the left of the beach is a high sand dune where the film "Six Days and Seven Nights" was filmed, where the stunt doubles for Harrison Ford and Anne Heche jumped off.Koloa · 4.9km from downtown

Wailua Falls is another waterfall on the island of Kauai that made its name in the opening scene of Neverland. Although the location of the waterfalls is a bit out of the way, it is a good photo spot when there is sufficient water and the surrounding tropical plants will be covered with a layer of water vapor.Kauai · 17km from Koloa

A beach park with a particularly good view. Although there are many people, it is large in area, so it doesn't look crowded. There are many water entertainment projects in Pop Beach Park, and diving activities are also possible here.

With the impact of the waves, springs gushed out from the bottom of the sea. This place is still very special. There are not many visitors, but it is worth coming to see. At least our group of people who drove here think it is worth it.

Wailua Falls is located on the Wailua River on Kauai and is about 80 feet (24 meters) high. The falls can be seen from a roadside viewing platform. It used to be possible to hike to the base of the falls, but now it is not allowed due to safety concerns. The entrance to the hiking trail has been blocked by barbed wire. Many people also kayak or take a boat tour of the Wailua River to reach the falls, which allows a closer view of the falls and the lush tropical landscape. Wailua Falls is important to Hawaiian culture. Locals believe that Hawaiian gods and goddesses live in the falls, so it is an important location for celebrations and ceremonies.
