Bali Hai Pier

7.1
3.7/5
3 reviews

Bali Hai Pier is located at the southern end of Pattaya Beach and the end of Walking Street, serving as the gateway for sea excursions from Pattaya. Speedboats and ferries to Koh Larn (also known as Coral Island) mainly depart from here, heading to the island's beaches and small fishing villages. Speedboating takes about 20 minutes to reach the island, while ferries sail slowly across Pattaya Bay, ideal for travelers who are not in a hurry and prefer a peaceful sea view. Many water activity itineraries also use the pier as the meeting point. Experiences like parasailing, introductory diving, underwater walking, jet ski rides, and banana boat rides are often included in the 1-day tours departing from here, with most activities taking place in the clear waters around Koh Larn, where snorkelers can spot reefs and schools of small fish. In the evening, dinner cruises set sail from the pier, offering another unique experience of Pattaya Bay with meals on the deck, sunset views, and nightscapes. Practical tips: Speedboat departure time slots are flexible, while ferries operate on fixed schedules—confirm your departure time slot and return time in advance to avoid missing the last boat back to the mainland. Speedboating can be bumpy, so travelers prone to seasickness may prefer ferries. The pier's walkway itself is also a great spot for photos, especially in the evening when the sea reflects the sunset and the "PATTAYA CITY" landmark on the distant hillside serves as a popular backdrop.

The Four Regions Floating Market is very characteristic of Thailand, with shops lining both sides of the waterways, and you can take a boat tour. We brought our elders here, and they leisurely enjoyed the water town atmosphere. The food and souvenirs were plentiful, making for a very pleasant experience.

Pattaya Elephant Village is one of those rare places where you feel a deep connection to Thailand’s culture, nature, and wildlife the moment you step in. It’s not just an attraction — it’s a peaceful sanctuary that allows you to experience elephants in a respectful, ethical, and beautifully maintained environment. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming from the start. The staff greet you warmly, explain the history of the village, and guide you through the activities with genuine care. What stands out immediately is how well the elephants are treated — they roam freely, are fed properly, and are handled with kindness. This gives you confidence that your visit supports conservation rather than exploitation. One of the most memorable parts of the experience is the elephant feeding session. Standing face‑to‑face with these gentle giants, offering fruits, and watching them interact with you is truly magical. Their calm nature and expressive eyes make the moment unforgettable. The staff also share interesting facts about each elephant — their age, personality, and background — which adds a personal touch. The jungle walk and trekking experience is another highlight. Walking alongside an elephant through natural surroundings gives you a sense of adventure and serenity at the same time. The pace is slow and comfortable, allowing you to enjoy the greenery, the sounds of nature, and the peaceful rhythm of the elephants. It feels like stepping into a different world, far away from Pattaya’s busy streets. The cultural shows and demonstrations are well‑organized and informative. You get to learn about traditional Thai lifestyles, silk production, and the long history of elephants in Thai culture. Everything is presented in a respectful and educational manner, making the visit meaningful rather than commercial.

The Thai government has done a good job in protecting the natural environment. This island and the neighboring islands form the Ko Rang Marine National Park. The coral reefs of Ko Yak Lek are very beautiful. However, the disadvantage of this water area is that it is more than 3 meters deep, so it is not the best place for diving. Ko Tao and Ko Lipe are better. There are also many tourists who come here to swim (most of them wear life jackets for snorkeling), and the big fish are mostly hidden in the coral reefs. Only some smaller fish can be found, but there are few species. In fact, if you come in May, you can also go to Ko Mak and Ko Kuud. However, Ko Rang will also be closed from June to October. Early to mid-May is the best time because the low season just begins.

There were tigers everywhere. Like every enclosement had Tigers sleeping or sitting. They look well fed and healthy. Definetely a must visit place. But way too costly for the time we can spend there. There are different categories, new born, small, smallest, medium, big, toaby, white tiger etc. Choose only to interact with what you like, maybe one among smallest and new born, & 1 between medium and big! Choosing all will become very costly!

Before setting off, I confidently told my friends that I definitely wouldn't get lost on this road trip. However, after driving less than 30 kilometers, I led the navigation into a field ridge. My wheels nearly sank into the soft mud beside the field. I got out and struggled to push for ten minutes, my hands and face covered in mud. Looking up, I saw an old man in the field, smoking a cigarette, staring at me for a while before slowly saying, "Young man, you've taken a way that's more off-center than my cow's." I was utterly dumbfounded. I could only force a smile and chat with the old man. Then, the old man pointed to a small path hidden behind a tree, saying, "If you keep going this way, there's a place with local food so delicious it'll make your tongue tingle." I drove there with some skepticism, and it opened up a whole new world for me. The roadside restaurant didn't even have a sign, and the food... It was so spicy it felt like my head was going to fly off. I ate three bowls of rice and still couldn't stop. I continued wandering along this deserted path, the wheels crunching over fallen leaves. Wildflowers bloomed haphazardly by the roadside, and even butterflies were circling around my car. I played the most corny DJ music and drifted along the empty highway, feeling like the coolest kid on the block. Getting lost? The navigation hadn't planned this route. That was what I called a unique surprise! I didn't start heading back until it got dark. Looking at the mud stains on my car, I took out my phone and texted a friend, saying I'd gotten lost and stumbled upon a hidden dungeon. My friend replied with three question marks, saying, "This isn't a road trip, it's a wilderness survival experience!" I laughed so hard I slapped the steering wheel. This experience was a hundred times better than staying home and watching short videos 🤣. Driving my car through the mountains and rivers felt like being in a giant natural oxygen bar. Every deep breath I took allowed me to feel the essence of the Yangtze River civilization and nature's bounty. The joy of driving lies in the perfect combination of a sense of control and a thirst for exploration. The unknown road ahead is always full of allure, making one want to explore it. The villages, fields, and mountains along the way all tell the stories of this land, and as a passerby, I was fortunate enough to be a witness to these stories. This experience of intertwining with history and nature enriched my heart immensely, as if all my worries had been blown away by the river breeze, leaving only a love and longing for life. As the wheels of the train ceaselessly rolled on, I found my own rhythm. That unhurried attitude filled me with boundless anticipation and longing for the future. Spending the night in the small town, listening to the distant sounds of Sichuan opera, my heart was filled with indescribable emotion and satisfaction 🌞💚.

It was so much fun, bro! I thought it was a bit pricey before coming, but it turned out to be totally worth it. The staff were great, the environment was wonderful, and the photos turned out beautifully. Towels and shower gel were all free. The only thing you don't need to pay for once you're inside is drinks, unless you want to buy your own. I'd give it five stars!

Had a really fun time at the show! It was funny, entertaining, and full of energy. Lots of dancers and plenty of fun moments — definitely a good experience if you are looking for something different in Pattaya. 😄VIP ticket: Personally, I don’t think VIP is necessary unless you really want a good view of all the dancers( We are seated VIP area , honest speaking is near to stage ). Otherwise, regular seating should be fine. One small tips about taking photos: Please be careful if you give money to security staff to help take photos. We saw a Japanese lady give money to a security staff member specifically to take photos, but the money was not returned afterward. It could have simply been a communication misunderstanding, so I don’t want to assume anything, but I would recommend confirming the arrangement clearly before handing over any money.Overall, 5 stars from me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A funny, lively and entertaining show — we had a great time!
