The Tricolor Lake in Indonesia is located in the three craters of the Kelimutu volcano. According to the "Encyclopedia of Indonesia" published in 1982, the Tricolor Lake was formed due to the eruption of the Kelimutu volcano a long time ago. Strange landscape. The water in the 3 volcanic lakes has different colors because of different minerals. It is divided into three types: green, cyan and red, hence the name of the three-color lake. Those who are interested may wish to take a look.Kelimutu · 3.9km from downtown

Komodo National Park is located in the waters between Sumbawa and Flores in Indonesia. Listed as a World Natural Heritage site in 1991, it centers on the three main islands of Komodo Island, Padar Island, and Rinca Island, along with several smaller islands and the surrounding waters. The park was originally established to protect the Komodo monitor, a species now found only on a few Indonesian islands, and this remains the primary area for observing them. The Komodo monitor, commonly known as the Komodo dragon, is the largest living lizard, with adults reaching lengths of up to 3m and weighing approx. 70 to 100 kg. They feed on deer and water buffalo, and also scavenge for carrion. Dragon viewing requires hiking along trails accompanied by a ranger. The dragons are more active in the early morning, while at noon they mostly hide in the shade. Both Komodo Island and Rinca Island have campsites and multiple hiking trails of varying lengths. The scenery in this sea area is equally spectacular: the hilltop trail on Padar Island offers a view of three bays with white, pink, and black sand beaches in a single frame, making it a popular spot for sunrise photography. The pink beach on Komodo Island gets its name from the red coral fragments mixed into the white sand, making it perfect for swimming and snorkeling. When snorkeling or diving at the manta ray observation point, you have the chance to swim with manta rays and sometimes encounter sea turtles. At dusk, you can often see flocks of fruit bats flying over the sea toward their feeding grounds. Most itineraries depart from Labuan Bajo port on the western end of Flores. One-day round-trip speedboat tours or multi-day liveaboards are common. The dry season has calmer winds and waves and higher water visibility, making it more suitable for boat trips and snorkeling.Indonesia · Komodo

Of course, there are also diving, snorkeling and deep diving.Indonesia · Komodo

There are 7 pink sand beaches in the world, and Komodo just happens to have one. This beach is pink near the sea, very special, the sea water is very cool and crystal clear, and there are many sea fish visible to the naked eye. The turquoise waves, the dark green rolling hills, the azure blue sky, and the pink sand beach, all are so strong and clear that you will be stunned like a demon, forgetting that this is the world. Komodo's pink beach is actually red coral powder. From a distance, it is the effect of powder. There are hundreds of soft and hard corals and thousands of fish species in the pink beach water. It's also a good choice for snorkelers and beginner divers, as even the shallow waters are rich in species, making it a wonderland-like world.Indonesia · Komodo

Located in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, Padar Island is the third largest island in Komodo National Park, nestled between Komodo Island and Rinca Island. Padar Island attracts visitors with its unique topography and natural landscape. The island has a rugged terrain with volcanoes and hills surrounding deep bays, creating a spectacular landscape. The climate is dry, and the vegetation is dominated by shrubs and grass, presenting a tropical savannah-like appearance. There are four deep bays on the island with beaches of different colors, including white, gray and pink sand, providing visitors with a rich visual experience. The waters around Padar Island are famous for scuba diving and snorkeling activities, and the clear waters and abundant marine life make it an ideal location for underwater exploration. A hike to the top of the mountain viewpoint offers a magnificent panoramic view of the entire island, especially at sunrise or sunset. The natural beauty of Padar Island and the rich outdoor activities make it a must-visit place when exploring the Komodo Archipelago.Indonesia · Komodo

Sumba is an island in the Lesser Sunda Islands of Indonesia, located east of Bali and southwest of Flores. Unlike most volcanic islands in Indonesia, this island is primarily limestone, characterized by vast grasslands, rolling hills, and coastlines dotted with coconut groves and reefs. Due to its limited development, the villages here still maintain their tribal structures and ancestral traditions. The island's traditional villages are a cultural highlight: thatched roofs rise to towering, pointed peaks, and megalithic tombs carved with patterns stand in front of the houses—a burial custom that continues to this day. In the southwest, Ratenggaro Village, with its dozens of high-roofed thatched houses lined up facing the sea, is a great place to experience traditional settlement forms. In the east, Prailiang Village is known for its weaving, where weavers use natural dyes and traditional backstrap looms to create Ikat textiles, with intricate patterns often linked to family identity. Around February or March each year, the western part of the island hosts the Pasola festival, where riders divide into two teams and throw wooden spears at each other while galloping on horseback, a ritual battle held to pray for a bountiful harvest. The natural scenery is equally unique: the grassy hills around the Wairinding area shift between green and yellow depending on the wet and dry seasons; the mangroves on the white sands of Walakiri Beach sway in the sunset, earning them the name "dancing trees"; Weekuri Lagoon is a turquoise, crystal-clear pool enclosed by rocky cliffs, perfect for a swim; and Waimarang Waterfall is hidden at the end of the jungle, featuring a milky-blue pool with water so clear you can see the bottom.Indonesia · Prai Paha
Pulau Siaba Besar

Pulau Siaba Besar

Pulau Siaba Besar is a marine gem within Komodo National Park in the West Manggarai region of Indonesia, famous for its clear, blue waters and rich marine ecosystem. It is often hailed by diving enthusiasts as Turtle City, as various sea turtles, such as green sea turtles and hawksbill turtles, frequently swim freely in the shallow coral areas, giving visitors the opportunity to observe these elegant marine creatures up close in their natural environment. The waters surrounding Pulau Siaba Besar feature vibrant coral gardens, making it an ideal base for snorkeling and scuba diving. The underwater landscape here includes both shallow sandy areas and deep coral zones, which is not only suitable for beginners to explore but also satisfies the curiosity of experienced divers looking to observe marine life in detail. In addition to sea turtles, divers may also encounter diverse underwater creatures such as reef sharks, cuttlefish, and rays, making every dive full of surprises. Although the island is not large, it attracts diving and nature enthusiasts from around the world with its pristine nature and rich marine ecosystem, allowing people to enjoy the tranquil island scenery while immersing themselves in a spectacular underwater world.Indonesia · Komodo

Kalong Island is a nature lover's paradise. In the morning, the white sand beach reveals a wide crescent-shaped sandbar at low tide, and the shimmering mica particles in the sand sparkle in the sun. The coral garden on the east side is a paradise for snorkelers, and the clear water allows visitors to easily observe the colorful coral fish. At sunset, take a boat to the Devil's Rock area, where visitors have a high chance of seeing huge manta rays gliding gracefully in the water. On the way back, the flying fox corridor is another highlight, with hundreds of Malay giant flying foxes soaring in the air, creating a spectacular scene. Every year, the turtle nesting area on the east side opens, providing an opportunity to observe turtles up close. For diving enthusiasts, when the tide recedes, the south beach will reveal the wreckage of a World War II shipwreck, waiting for the brave to explore. Kalong Island is not only a tourist attraction, but also a place where people can experience the wonders of nature.Indonesia · Komodo

I won't say much about the fun and sightseeing, but I'd like to remind you to be safe when island hopping. It's best to learn how to use the snorkeling equipment in advance. Most tour guides speak English, and many people go into the water before learning how to do it, which makes them choke easily. Be sure to wear a life jacket. When getting on and off the boat, children and the elderly should pay attention to the gap between the boat and the dock. In addition, the projects of each island hopping tour are exactly the same, so just choose the cheaper one. D'tour is very good.
