Great day, rustic experience with Randy and our pony’s. It was a great day, only suggestion is to wear jeans / pants when hot, that’s on us. The guide took us on a path through the coconut plantation and lagoon.

Francisco was an excellent guide showing us the diverse landscapes and culture of the ixtapa/Zihuatanejo Region. We enjoyed the Zihuatanejo portion of the tour the most - seeing the old marketplace, and eating some great food.

What I wrote for Luis: What can I say other than Luis is THE best? We lucked out being the only ones on his tour for the day and got the chance to know him and the area of Zihua/Ixtapa where he has lived his whole life. His knowledge of history and contemporary society was outstanding. We began the tour driving through the residential hills of Zihuatanejo. Luis was great at anticipating many questions and could explain the meanings behind our random observations. Our main interest was the archeological site of the Xihuacan pyramids, about a 45 min drive outside of the city. He went above and beyond for us, chronicling the timeline of the history of the state of Guerrero from about 1500 BCE to 1100 ACE. There was so much to see and learn. An authentic Mexican lunch was also provided at a great spot in the country. We are so grateful for the chance to meet Luis! We highly recommend any tour led by this great guide! We would love to return for the kayak tour.

Luis is a knowledgable and friendly tour guide. He is easy to communicate with and everyone seems to know him! He took us around town and gave us a sense of the local community and history of Zihuatanejo, Ixtapa, and surrounding areas. The tour was a nice blend of experiencing both city and rural life. Luis was so accommodating answering all of our questions and adapted the tour based on our interests. The tour ended with a wonderful meal, even better than the restaurant where we are staying. We’ve already recommended him to other folks we’ve encountered on our vacation and will continue to do so to fellow travelers coming to this region. Thank you for the wonderful orientation to the area.
