Reviews: Zanzibar: Prison Island and Nakupenda Boat Trip with Lunch

It was a fantastic experience to see the giant tortoises up close. The museum on Prison Island is quite small, so it was difficult to see everything. There are souvenir shops there, which I appreciated since I hadn't found anything nice at the hotel. In my opinion, the sandbar was unnecessary; it was far too crowded. The food, however, was quite good. There was fruit, seafood, and fries. Our guides were also excellent! Very pleasant and relaxed. Furthermore, we became ill on the day of our trip and couldn't cancel. We called and were able to postpone for three days free of charge. I'm very grateful for that!★

We took the 9:30 timeslot. The guide met us and greated us by name. The boat was clean and in a very good condition. It was a short and pleasant cruise across the bay to the sandbank. We were some of the first people to arrive, it was great to have it all to ourselves. They quickly setup up a table, chairs and a gazebo to provide shade. we had enough time to walk around, swim twice with a selection of fruit provided at the table. Overall we are very pleased with the experience and we will remember it as one of our best memories of the trip to Zanzibar.★

At the end of our stay in Zanzibar, we wanted to organise a bespoke private tour of Stone Town to include hotel pick-up and airport drop off with our luggage.
Mo and his team sorted it without any problem and at a very fair price.

The driver arrived promptly. The guides at both the spice farm and Stone Town were very knowledgeable, and their stories were engaging and informative. We were very satisfied with the tour and would definitely recommend it.
