Got upgraded to the 2 hour Stephensons Island cruise due to weather so great start. Staff were great. Stunning scenery.
Reviews: Wine Tour with Wine Tasting from Wanaka
Guest User2023-10-11
Such a wonderful tour around the area. We weren’t sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised with the tour around the area and surrounding towns. The wines and cellar door staff were so friendly and knowledgeable with many tasty wines on offer. The meal and matching wines at The Stoaker Room was next level!! Definitely recommend. We also had the added bonus at the end of the trip of the fresh fruit icecream from Jackson Orchard. Heidi, our guide was so friendly, full of wonderful knowledge of the region and great stories of her life in the area. Such a wonderful day. Can’t recommend this tour enough. Thank you!!! Reviews: Wanaka Water Taxi Mou Waho Island Tour
Guest User2024-03-16
The tour guide was friendly and super knowledgeable. He described the geology and history of the area, and was easy to talk to. The ride to the island was easy and really scenic, despite the weather (it was really windy and rainy in patches). The walk uphill on Mou Waho as at least 30 to 40 minutes and is a solid uphill climb, and you get to listen to beautiful birdsong the whole way. The scenery at top is incredible. If the weather is windy, dress warmly! And dress and layers because you will get warm, climbing uphill.
Reviews: 'Express' Wine Tour & Māori Culture Wānaka
Guest User2024-05-08
My friend and I were the only 2 people on the tour that day and it was indeed a great express experience of Maori culture and the local wineries! Joe was passionate and funny, always cracking a joke or two along the way, and shared a lot about local history and culture as well as insight into the 2 wineries we went to (Aitken's Folly and Rippon). The staff/owners we met at the wineries were nice and explained the different wines / the region well too. Would love to try the longer wine tour if there's a next time as Joe told us that he would drive out to further regions for more varieties of wine experiences! Would recommend to anyone coming to the region :)
