I had already been to Sandwich Harbour, so I thought I knew what to expect... Spoiler alert: I knew nothing. This time, I had the chance to do it with Christian from Desert Compass Tours, and there... a change of dimension! First of all, Christian is a mix between a walking encyclopedia, a rally driver (calm, eh), and a stand-up comedian. He knows every dune, every grain of sand (well almost), and he explains everything with passion, humor, and a good dose of good humor. We learn, we laugh, and we don't see the time go by. And in terms of safety, frankly, I was more scared in a taxi in town than in the dunes with him. The sunset? Simply breathtaking. The kind of moment where you say to yourself: "OK, now I'm in a documentary, for sure." In short, if you do Sandwich Harbour, do it with Christian. Otherwise, it's a bit like eating a sandwich without any filling: it lacks flavor!

Mike, our driver and guide, is amazing. He is an experienced driver and shared interesting information about what we were seeing. Mike is friendly, caring, and was patient with my mobility challenged husband. My husband and I agree that this excursion was one of our best ever! Much thanks to Mike. We enjoyed the passage past the salt "mines" and learning how sea salt is processed for our use. The dunes and views of the ocean and harbor were fabulous. We even got to see a group of Springbok put on a performance for us. Oh, and lunch exceeded our expectations! We 110% recommend this tour and company. Birtzers MN, USA
