Reviews: Sandwich Harbor Half Day Tour
Guest User2026-02-06
We had no idea we were essentially on a private tour with another couple and their child! Our guide, Kevin, picked us up at the designated meeting point and told us so many fascinating things about the flora and fauna at each stop! We could take as much time as we wanted. The picnic in the desert was incredibly delicious and much bigger than we had imagined. Cold drinks and water were also provided. Upon request, they even made a quick extra stop at the supermarket. An unforgettable experience with amazing impressions and a fantastic guide! Our expectations were exceeded!

Reviews: Walvis Bay: Sandwich Harbour Sunset Tour

It was a very nice tour, even though our four-wheel drive failed along the way; the other vehicles in the group handled it very well. Sandwich Harbour was worth seeing. We arrived at the beach just in time for sunset and our excellent picnic.
Reviews: Walvis Bay: Pelican Point Kayaking Tour

We were picked up at the waterfront, and our guide, Robert, was fantastic. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The organization was excellent. We traveled in small buses (10 people per bus) with a trailer carrying the kayaks. The actual kayak tour lasted an hour, partly due to the distance (just over an hour's drive), which was perfectly sufficient. It was great fun and not at all tiring. The snack bar on the beach was delicious, offering rolls and pastries from a German bakery, as well as coffee and tea. Water was provided on-site, and we could leave our belongings in the car. The company is careful to ensure the sea lions aren't disturbed by the kayaks, so you're not allowed to paddle too close to the shore. I'd also like to mention that, in addition to prioritizing nature conservation, the staff were treated well, in our opinion. We didn't get this impression everywhere in South Africa and Namibia.
Reviews: Walvis Bay: Namibian Coast Dolphin Cruise with Light Lunch

It was the absolute best experience and we can 100% recommend this tour to anyone! We saw a lot of animals which the captain could tell us a lot about. The lunch on the beach was really lovely prepared and all the crew were the nicest people. We felt in good hands at all times :)

My friends & I enjoyed this scenic & fun experience. The lunch, with bubbles, was very nice. The drivers are very professional & experienced. The return trip through the dunes is quite thrilling. To note for future people booking the afternoon trip, is that the "lunch" isn't until about 3:30pm. Also check on tide times, because at near high tide, the vehicles can't get all the way along the beach and the tour stops short of Sandwich Harbour. The other important thing to note is the seating arrangement of thier Toyota Fortunars. They carry up to 7 passengers. The primo seat is up front, next to the driver. Obviously, you have way better views & photo opportunities here. The next best are the outside seats in the next row, where you're by a large window that opens. If you're in the back row or middle seat of 2nd row, your experience isn't as good (if I'd been seated here for whole time my rating would have been 2-3). You & your companions need to set up a roster to take turns & swap around at stops.
