It was wonderful to view all the old structures containing all the various fixtures and implements you might expect. The newer building and exhibits were an unexpected treat. I wish we had had more time to delve into them. The carrot cake and coffee were just right! We are happy for our good fortune to stop in.

Under the professional guidance of Outdoor Norway, we went on an adventure raft. It was very spectacular. There were four of us, sharing a raft with two other participants and the instructor—in our case, Anup from India, a very experienced and skilled raft guide! We went in a group of five rafts. The equipment was excellent. Halfway through the trip, there was a waterfall and rapids that we couldn't navigate with this group. To do so, we had to get out of the boat and scramble a bit. This was possibly the most difficult part of the entire trip. Rafting is quite pricey, but it is a very fun experience!

The air in Quyang is absolutely terrible, incredibly polluted, but the Beiyue Temple, shrouded in Taoist magic, is refreshingly clean! The main attraction is the Yuan Dynasty main hall and its east and west walls' murals, traditionally attributed to Wu Daozi, but this doesn't stand up to scrutiny; they're likely Yuan-Song Dynasty works, though still well worth seeing! The surrounding stele corridors also offer many surprises, worth examining closely. However, avoid the sections covered by glass; they're crude modern imitations, practically toxic to the eyes! Overall, a great experience!
