Reviews: The 10 Tastings of Cusco With Locals: Private Food Tour

My husband and I had a great food tour with Angelo. I would recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your stay as it was a very good introduction to Cusco. He was a really nice, friendly guy, full of energy and very charismatic and his tour was definitely one of our highlights of Peru. We started in San Pedro Mercado, tasting different juices and chocolates. We then moved on to other cafes, where the locals go, and sampled various different foods that we would never have discovered on our own. He also told us a lot about the history and culture of Cusco. I asked a lot of questions about life in Peru and he answered them all very patiently. His English was excellent and he was very easy to understand. We would have liked to have done another tour with him but sadly my husband was poorly, and then we ran out of time. Angelo also recommended two restaurants: Morena Peruvian Kitchen and Cicciolina, both of which were excellent. Angelo made the tour really fun and I would highly recommend him as a guide and we would definitely use him again.

Interesting experience with a good variety of street food that filled our tummies. Alex, our guide explained everything in detail and was patient. We were glad to have this experience otherwise we would not know what street food to try and what they were. Thank you

Very good experience however the horses were not included so you have to pay 80soles to take a horse from the bottom which we weren’t made aware of. Other than this it was very well organised and the food was good.
