Going to sea to fish, you don’t need to catch emperor crabs yourself. After you come back, they will take pictures and introduce the source. The meat is very delicious. The captain will also add crab legs to you.★

Overall a really great experience. We saw a huge pod of humpback whales which was amazing. However, the journey is long - 3-4 hours each way with an hour of whale watching so it’s a tiring day. The scenery on the journey is beautiful so this definitely helps to keep you entertained. It was really cold so not easy to spend much time out on deck, but we still managed to snap plenty of lovely pictures.
The Brim Explorer team is really well organised and did a great job of giving us interesting information & talks throughout the trip. There were food and drinks on board so for the long journey which was great.
The main negatives were that our boat was very full & if you weren’t lucky enough to get a table to yourselves, you had to share tables and benches which can be quite intense for 8-9 hours.
There were also plenty of people who were sea-sick & vomiting. The team did hand out bags but it was all fairly last minute. The toilets have signs saying please vomit outside, but quite a few people didn’t listen & vomited in toilets or bins in the cabin which was pretty disgusting. I think the Brim team could have predicted this more and made an announcement being very clear that anyone feeling sick needed to go outside on deck.
Overall really enjoyable, just prepare for a long day & the real possibility of not seeing whales at all.★

Went in minibuses, stopped at various different Fjords for photographs. Guide was very knowledgeable and good fun. Had hot chocolate and a traditional pastry with cinnamon at the last stop. Beautiful scenery
