Reviews: Tomar and Almourol Castle: Knights Templar Private Tour

This tour met and went beyond our expectations. We had an interest in the Knights Templar and booked this tour as it seemed to offer what we were looking for. Our guide JP was fluent in English, had excellent vocabulary and was easy to understand. JP had extensive knowledge of about the sites visited and also provided us with information that went beyond simple reporting. JP was friendly, communicated easily with us and was what the Portuguese call “muito amavel “. I use a cane and although I am mobile, I struggle with steps or uneven terrain. JP was always there to help me and ensure I was safe without being intrusive. We spent 7 hours with JP learning about the historical sites and the history of each. There were two brief breaks for refreshments as well as an hour for lunch at a restaurant he recommended. We highly recommend this tour. It was exactly what we’d hoped for.★

This is the second time we have used a 72 hour pass for our stay in Lisbon. We used it for getting from and back to the airport, as well as Trams, Trains, Metro and bus services. It's a great way to see Lisbon and the surrounding area.Trip.com picks
