The similian islands are incredibly beautiful and being able to swim with the fishes in the coral reef was really a once in a lifetime experience. The crew was also super happy, cheerful, really really nice and attentive to everyone's needs. However, be prepared for quite some rough seas on the way there, the trip is not for those that get easily seasick! In terms of price, I think the trip is a bit overpriced, considering it was only a 6 hour boat trip with 2 stops for snorkeling & beach. Overall, it was a great trip and it's a must see if you're staying in Khao Lak

I would book this elephant sanctuary again anytime, as they truly care 100% about the animals' well-being. Currently, there are only six elephants living here, but I've heard they plan to take in more in the future. The number of elephants wasn't important to me, though; what mattered most was that the animals could behave as naturally as possible, and this is definitely the case here. No chains, no bathing, no riding, and above all, no pressure or coercion. If an animal doesn't want to do anything, it isn't forced, and the elephant handlers treat them with great respect and affection. None of them use a so-called "hook" to drive the animals. Each elephant has its own handler, and you receive excellent information about the animals' lives and their history. I would definitely go back.
