The original day tour was canceled and we were offered to change to a similar tour that has Jiufen, Shifen, and Yehliu as an addition. We were ok with the change. At the meeting place beginning of the tour, it was a little bit confusing since many tours meet at the same place/time. Make sure to know your tour guide's name. Our tour guide is Jerry Liao. He is friendly, professional. He gives good descriptions of the places we visited, recommendations on what to do, and very detail instructions on when/where to meet after free-time. Jerry speaks in both Chinese and English so everybody can follow along. I enjoyed the tour even though it seemed a bit rush since we covered 3 places in about 8 hours.

Easy to purchase. Gathered at taipei main station exit m3 and led to a coach. First stop was at shifen where we released lantern. Next was to shifen waterfalls via a hanging bridge, the view was spectacular! The second stop was to Jiufen, we were blessed with no rain until the last few 20mins where it started to drizzle. The guide told us jiufen rains 200/365 days, so we were really lucky. The final stop was to Yehliu. I wasnt very impressed by the queen's head though, but the view there was magnificent! There is some giant "earphones" there where u can hear the calming sounds of the waves, IT WAS SO MAGICAL! Like the structure of the tour and instructions and time were communicated to our group very clearly.

It was indeed a interesting one especially with the tour guide , Mr Tommy . Under him … everything runs smoothly and we are in time to have our dinner. He shared stories of the different tourist spots and give advices that are kind on our purchase if to make . One thing recommendable , this tour leader never do push sales but just make sure the trip run smooth though there is some hiccup cause by others travellers . I have a better understanding on some historical updates of the places that i visit . Will book my day trip again from trip.com

I was about to give up on going alone because I wouldn't be able to eat much, but then I saw that they had added a single-person menu, so I made a reservation straight away. Everything that was listed came out, and the portions were amazing! I was allowed to leave the fried rice, soup, and cucumber to take home. I had it at the hotel that night, and it was pretty tasty even without heating it up. The soup looked... but it was surprisingly light, with lots of tender meat and tasty vegetables. I also liked the refreshing cucumber (slightly spicy). I went to the store in the basement of Mitsukoshi in Nakayama. I showed the QR code to the staff at the entrance, and the wait time was 25 minutes. If you didn't make a reservation here, I think you'd wait twice as long. The portions are quite large, so be careful ^ ^

Purchase one EasyCard per person. It can be used on all transportation except trains. Convenience stores also accept it. The pick-up location is right in front of the MRT platform on the basement level. Be sure to bring the purple token, which is the MRT round-trip ticket. You'll need an EasyCard and two tokens.
