Our guide was super knowledgeable and passionate about the history – you could tell they genuinely loved sharing stories from Barcelona’s past. They pointed out all sorts of little details, like Roman ruins tucked into modern buildings, or the legends behind some of the street names. It wasn’t just dry facts either – they made it fun and engaging.★

We enjoyed painting! We loved the ceramics of Spain, especially all of the art deco ceramic work of history. Upon first glance of this activity, we thought we would be taught a class of historical significance regarding ceramics in Spain and make our own ceramic tiles based upon what we learned. However, I was mistaken. This was simply “Arts On Fire” as it’s known in the US. You pick your ceramic piece and paint it. No class or history involved. Also, you need at least three days in Sevilla because they need three days to put your creation in the kiln. We had to take our creation unfinished because we were leaving the area the next day. On the bright side, the staff were amazing. They were fun, helpful, kind and people you could easily become best friends with. It was a positive experience overall.★
