What we liked most about this activity was Francis, our guide. Having a guide from the area, who is passionate about sharing his home made all the difference. Constanza is absolutely beautiful and strawberry picking at the farm was delightful. The complementary juice and strawberries were a welcomed bonus! Francis was really engaging and gave a lot of facts about Constanza and the history of the Dominican Republic, AND also was funny and entertaining as a guide. The Offbeat SRL tour group was also really helpful, with coordinating transportation from Santo Domingo in order to do this tour. I would highly recommend this tour and any other tour with this group.

Must do trip! Edwin our guide was amazing! Explained everything on the tour about the local neighbourhoods, countryside and city we visited, took us for a traditional Dominican lunch which was excellent. The farmer on the plantation was lovely, we tasted coffee, traditional hot chocolate, fruits, cocoa & herbs, was so informative, welcomed us in to his house for a tour. souvenir shop was also great we were under no pressure to buy anything. Very relaxed atmosphere, cigar factory also excellent!

The guide was extremely knowledgeable. She not only spoke English very well, she had a great way with words and made the whole tour entertaining. We wished it wouldn't end. We learned so much about the Dominican Republic and Santo Domingo and their people. I'll admit I was hesitant because of the "with a local artist" part of the tour name, but I think her creative abilities enhanced the tour. Do not miss out on this tour!
