We experienced Te Pā Tū during our honeymoon and it was one of the highlights of our time in Rotorua. From the powerful kapa haka performances to the warmth of the welcome onto the marae, everything felt authentic and deeply meaningful. The hāngī dinner was beautifully prepared — generous, delicious, and shared in a way that felt true to Māori hospitality. What really stood out was how the evening wove together food, performance, and storytelling with cultural values of connection and respect for the land. This isn’t just a tourist show, it’s an immersion into a living tradition. The evening does run long, so plan to relax and soak it all in. A must-do in Rotorua — thoughtful, welcoming, and unforgettable.
