Pepper was an amazing tour guide! Picked us up from The Fort Young Hotel and gave us the best day we ever had on the island! He is so friendly and knowledgeable and his energy brought joy all day long (even to our two teenage daughters.) Hospitality is his middle name! We arrived early at the Emerald Pool and had the whole site to ourselves. It was amazing. As we left all the other tour buses were just pulling in. From the beaches to the falls, the hot springs and all the stops in between it was an unforgettable day! Even for my husband who is a born native of Dominica! Five stars, highly recommend!★

Capt. Jeff and Mickael were both knowledgeable and super friendly. They used a hydrophone to locate Sperm whales and took us right to them. Along the way we flying fish and brown boobies. We watched first one pod breathing at the surface before diving, and then moved to second location where the pod had calves. One of the babies swam right up to the boat to get a better look at us. 10/10 - this is a must do!★

This tour is not for the faint of heart. Today is day 2 since the hike and my calves and thighs are still pretty tight. The hike has areas that are very narrow and steep but it is well worth it. Tour guide, Mio, is amazing. He is easy to talk to, funny and provides a wealth of information about the island, the rainforest and its occupants and so much more. He’s like a walking Wikipedia! We were hiking at a descent pace so it took us 6.5hrs total. The lake was at a simmer that day but it is still quite a wonder to set eyes on. We crossed several rivers and saw some waterfalls along the way. On the way back, I was blessed to enjoy the downpour of a warm waterfall on my shoulders. Absolutely stunning views along the entire way with blue/green pools in the rivers and some that are blue/gray due to the potency of the volcanic minerals. Dominica is truly a blessed country in nature. We got to boil an egg and you can collect your own natural clay from small volcanic pockets. Mio calls it nature’s natural proactive. Funny enough, I paid $25XCD the day before for a small amount but thankfully had a ziplock bag to scoop some fresh clay— which I have on my face as I’m writing this review! 🤪
At the entrance of the hike is Titou Gorge and we got to jump in and swim up to see the two beautiful waterfalls at the end of our hike. Following Mio’s direction made it so much fun and a lot easier to push against the heavy flowing current. That part was actually the best part of my visit to Dominica.
I highly recommend this company and especially tour guide, Mio.★

First was a short, easy hike through the forest to the cold soufre. It was much prettier than the photos I’d seen posted. Next we went to the old fort. We learned a little history, had some great views. The highlight was the boat ride up the Indian river. It was lovely.★

The guide was great - it was the lunch that surprised us and we didn't like it - But nothing to say about the Guide who was sent to us... we loved him - we wanted to leave him a tip and we don't know how to do it? Can you help us? Or is it too late? What a shame then if that's the case
