The buggy experience was good experience for the family especially families with older kids as they get to drive their own buggy. A good way to see local culture. Driving the buggies will require some effort to steer and brake, ie if your kids are soft I.e it’s not like the luxury cars your kids have.
Staff is friendly and they picked us up and dropped us off outside our hotel.
PS you will get dirty bring sunglasses and a gaiter to cover your mouth or you can purchase them onsite.

Our driver from the hotel was prompt and kind. Somehow we ended up on the wrong bus so the company chose to make it right by sending a driver (gusto) and a tour guide (Robinson) to pick us up and low and behold we ended up on the tour with just the four of us. Alto de Chavon was truly incredible and breathtaking. Between the river and amphitheater. Next we stopped at a gift shop then the public market. We were guided through the market and never left alone. We felt very safe going into a “local spot”. We had lunch, which was so good, then went to a small farmhouse to see how coffee and chocolate is made. Throughout the journey Robinson, gusto, my husband, and I were cracking jokes and having a fantastic time. On the way back to the resort we shared some of our favorite American music and they played some of theirs. This truly was the real deal culture tour! Ask for Robinson and gusto, it’s no problemo y no mickey mouse!!!★

We were a group of 19 celebrating our 35th class reunion. Baby chela, Josiah, Angela and Calo were AWESOME!!! We had a party on the ocean and the food was the best we had thus far. Great Job crew!!!★

Reviews: Great Snorkeling Cruise with Sharks & Stingray Encounter and Natural Pool

Derley was THE BEST guide! His high energy and making sure everyone was taking care of the entire duration of the excursion was 100%! He made sure that there was good amounts of time at each stop during the excursion and for those travelers that weren’t doing certain parts, he made sure they still had fun. For example, some of the travelers went parasailing and during that time the others were snorkeling. Also, some did the stingray and shark encounter, while others enjoyed views from the observation dock.
The snorkeling was so fun! Derley and his assistant tossed fish food into the water to attract colorful fish for us to snorkel around.
The shark and stingray encounter was very neat. Getting to swim over the sharks while they were navigating their enclosure was a great way to see their movements and swim close to them as they allowed. We also got to see some shark pups which was unexpected. The stingray part of the encounter was okay, we had an opportunity to feel the stingray but that was really all. We didn’t get a chance for photos which was slightly disappointing.
Then the last part, the beach visit! It was BEAUTIFUL! Breathtaking palm tree views and clear water. The photographer was amazing at capturing photos of us during this stop. He was fun, energetic, and easy to work with. Derley took time to open a coconut for us that we found and gave us a chance to try a taste of the coconut.
A guest on our excursion lost his cell phone during the island visit, not only did Derley and his team go back to look for the phone but they FOUND IT! It was unreal!
Overall 10 out of 10! Derley and his team were the best! This was truly the highlight of our week in Punta Cana!★
