We had a good experience at the castle complex but it is extremely busy particularly in the Golden Lane area. This ruined our experience a little as it was so crowded we just wanted to get straight back out which was a shame. We think that golden lane should be limited to how many people enter at once as we could hardly move, some tourists were pushing and shoving to get into the houses which we just found unenjoyable. Like I said we couldn’t wait to get out but it’s a one way system bottleneck into a small exit. I’d recommend going early or later in the day to ovoid the crowds. We enjoyed the Lobkowicz palace but found the emphasis was on the paintings rather than the building itself. The commentary was good, hearing about the current family and the history but I would have like to have learned more about the palace. Overall I’m glad we experienced the castle complex but it wasn’t my favourite experience in Prague.

Mike is a great guide, awesome clear commentary of all the important spots of the tour. The passion snd enthusiasm for the places he’s guiding is heartfelt. Totally recommend this tour to Prague castle and lesser town for first timers to Prague like me.
