Our tour guide from Askos Tours was really excellent, the tour was about 2 hours which was about right, well paced, lots of information but not a complete barrage, and the group size was small enough that it felt comfortable.
We went on the 9:10am tour at the start of December, if going when Pompeii is likely to be busy, would certainly recommend going early to appreciate the site before it’s gets really crowded.
You’re then at leisure to walk the site and see other things, which is needed, as there is so much to see.★

Raffaele gave a great tour. My family of four including an 11 and 15-year-old were very engaged. He did a great job of describing daily life in Pompeii, the amazing engineering of the Romans and the tragedy of Vesuvius. I would definitely recommend.★

Our tour was absolutely phenomenal! Daniele was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all of our questions with patience and enthusiasm. Even the youngest member of our group (12 years old) was captivated by his engaging explanations and vivid stories about what happened in Pompeii. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to truly understand the history and daily life of this ancient city and it’s an experience you won’t forget!★
