My parents brought a SIM card from Japan when they traveled to Sydney, but it didn't work on the day. The support staff were very enthusiastic and helpful, so we were able to resolve the issue and it worked perfectly in Sydney. They said the signal strength there was very good, and that it was well worth the price! Another good point was that you can choose the contract period yourself, so you don't have to cancel it after returning to Japan!
