A breathtaking drive through mountain passes. Air Ben Haddou is well preserved being a World Heritage Site and worth the walk into the citadel. An excellent lunch.
Our driver Ibrahim was charming and a very fine and careful driver.
The roads, following the earthquake, have been cleared and restored, but it was sad to see the damage to local villages and people having to live in tents whist their homes are rebuilt. Despite all of this they are charming and hospitable people. Souvenirs are as good and often less expensive than in major towns.
