This was a wonderful experience. Myself, partner and two older relatives visited and had the best time. We learnt about the history, watched the tea being prepared, and made our own tea. There are small stools available for those who are not able to sit on the floor. We had 7 people in our group - I think any more and it would have been a little cramped. Totally recommend.

Our guide Gary was very knowledgeable and helpful. He helped to make the best out of our trip by giving us valuable information not only on history, but also for buying souvenirs or food. Since me and my husband are vegetarians, we didn’t book the meal for lunch. Around a castle you will find, however, vegetarian meal options. Castle itself doesn’t require any comments, as it ks breathtaking and worth of seeing. This is the one of the existing castles which was npt destroyed by wars, so it‘s been preserved in its original shape. I do recommend visiting onsen, as it is very relaxing after walking much. It’s not only giving you an authentic experience of bathing, but also making your skin feel silky and giving you a particular glow. We wrap up the tour with the breathtaking view from Rokko mountain. So I would definitely recommend this tour.

Be aware the line for the glass elevator can be very long — and honestly it’s not worth waiting in line for it. Skip it and opt for the “non-scenic” regular elevator! You’ll see all the views from the top anyway

Very organized inside the Castle museum. It was worth buying the entrance tickets in advance to avoid the long line at the entrance in this hot and humid weather in Osaka.


