Because the Jiuwanxi River rafting was closed, we went to Chaotianhou instead. The tour guide's bus picked us up at 8:00 AM, and we arrived at the scenic area around 11:00 AM. The tour guide gave us tickets and we immediately lined up (we had prepared waterproof phone cases and jelly shoes beforehand). After queuing to enter and have our tickets checked, we put on our life jackets and boarded the kayaks to start rafting. Personally, I didn't find it as exciting as Jiuwanxi, and the rafting trip only took a little over an hour. The food along the riverbank was particularly unpalatable and expensive. Before starting the rafting trip, I bought a bag of sealed chicken legs, but we didn't eat them during the trip. When we reached the end, the staff who picked us up directly asked for them (probably local villagers). I was reluctant, but they just took them, which felt a bit like being robbed. After getting off the boat, we had to pay for food ourselves, mainly because the food was so unpalatable and unhygienic.
