We took amazing adventures tours cab, we visited some view points, mattepettu dam, I would say it is must visit, do not miss the speed boat ride, amazing view which we can’t cover otherwise.
Big big No to any spice garden, you can visit but don’t buy from them as they will charge more from customers and give 30 percent cut to the driver.
Elephant ride, your cab driver gets cut.★

We had a wonderful time with Mithun - he was prompt for pick up in the morning and very informative throughout the day. Also quite the photographer! It was a long day but we were very comfortable in the AC car and learning about the area. Unfortunately we didn't see any elephants but we thoroughly enjoyed our day and chatting with Mithun.★

I took a two day tour with this operator,The first day tour was in “Dhekkaty direction” and the second day it was in “Mattupetty direction”.
The operator is of local origin, hence he seems to know his stuff about the forests, and tea plantations. He gave me trivia about the same.
The operator is proficient in English. So he can be hired with ease, by both domestic and foreign travelers too. The Vehicle is well maintained, The prices are reasonable and the operator is Honest, so my thumbs up.
The itinerary will be presented to you up front, so you know what to expect.
And the USP of this operator is his (auxiliary) photography skills, he has an eye for the dramatic, so expect beautiful pictures, mine are attached and taken by him.★

My wife and I had a great time on an all day tour with Ganesh. He made it clear right away that everything would be on our schedule, so we could stop and take pictures wherever we wanted and spend as much or as little time as we wanted at any one attraction. We really liked that aspect of the tour. Ganesh shared interesting information with us about the local culture, plant life, and agriculture. We saw some epic waterfalls while driving around in his awesome jeep. He spotted langur monkeys while driving so we pulled over for a while and watched them jumping through the trees. He also spotted some giant squirrels.
We enjoyed sharing tea and cookies (what was the name of those cookies?!) with Ganesh while sitting next to tea fields that look like a desktop background. It was a necessary “pick me up” in the middle of an enjoyable but long tour.
The hotel where we ate our afternoon/early evening meal was superb. Great food.
The end of the tour is a stop near a watering hole for elephants. Since they are wild you can’t say when or if they will come, so it ends up being a waiting game where the guest decides how long they are willing to wait. I was quite tired by the end of the day, and only waited about an hour and then wanted to leave. Ganesh reiterated that we were on our own schedule, so the choice about leaving or staying and waiting for the elephants as long as we wanted was completely up to us. We decided to leave and the elephants ended up coming after we left. But even when we left, he told his friend to let him know if the elephants showed up within 10-20 after leaving so he could turn the jeep back around so that we could see the elephants. World class customer service. Thank you Ganesh!★

The trekking tour was really great! The view was amazing and we walked on really beautiful paths. Our guide Philip explained us also a lot about the tea plantations and the region in general! The breakfast at the viewpoint was also super nice!
