I took two different tours with AJ and was more than happy to have had him as a guide. He was reliable on time and knowledgeable! He even had a good advice for me regarding accommodation which made me really happy too.
As I am traveling solo it is sometimes hard to choose a guide, but with AJ it was easy and I felt good at all times!
My highlight was the Slum Tour with him because he figured out a good route. He knows people there, talks to them. So it’s fine if you come as a tourist with him, so you don’t feel like you’re intriguing their private space. It was a very good tour!
Thank you very much AJ! Looking forward my next time in Mumbai to keep doing some sightseeing with you! I absolutely loved Mumbai!!★

As a Mumbaikar who spent the first 30 years of my life here, I was mesmerised by the depth of knowledge and understanding,our guide and curator, Sonali brought to this wonderful 4-hour spectacular outing! Her attention to detail and her deep yet concise narratives made this a rich, warm and particularly engaging interaction with the multicultural legacy of this great city. We traced the origins of the city, identified historic landmarks that are stark and visible, yet forgotten or ignored in the everyday humdrum of existence. The tour builds up on the legacy of our colonial masters, the enterprising adaptions of the native populations, the generosity of the traders and businessmen who eventually contributed to the establishment of the Institutions ….. A common theme one sees throughout the walk, is that it multiculturalism essentially was what led to the development of this fantastic city…..( Mumbai had it long before it became a cliche!!)…
I have to congratulate Sonali, not only for her knowledge, but the passion and sincerity with which she explains. These were not the rote renditions of a scripted tour-guide…. Her narratives reflect the feelings of someone with the unique understanding of human coexistence…..
We forgot the weather, we forgot what time it was, the heaves blessed us with a spectacular heavenly glow of the setting sun as we made our way up the ANCIENT BAN-Ganga….. all the way down to the quaint KHOT-A-Chi Wadi……
I want to congratulate KHAKI for their amazing efforts at historical conservation, the professionalism of ALL their staff, including the soft spoken gentleman who drove us thru bustling traffic……
YES, we’ll be back for more! At the risk of embarrassing myself…… there is so much as a Mumbaikar, I ought to know!!

Overall an absolutely wonderful experience! We saw a lot and even got some good food on the way! Our guide Takshak was very informative and knowledgeable about the history of the areas we went to! He was also very friendly and arrived on time! We had a great experience and with him and we wished we had more time to vacation there and have him guide us to more historical sites! 100/10. Would recommend!! 5 stars!★

Aarti and Surendra are wonderful hosts, we felt safe and well taken care of all day. Aarti’s local knowledge combined with Surendra’s insight and excellent driving ensured we had the most wonderful day! One of the many highlights was being welcomed into Aarti’s home and meeting her beautiful family ( I hope your daughter enjoyed her chocolate Aarti). Dharavi is an experience I will always treasure, we would not have gotten the true picture of life in a slum if not for Aarti. When we are next in Mumbai, we will be sure to book another tour with you both.
