Reviews: Pompeii and Herculaneum led by an Archaeologist with private transport

The exploration of pompei and hurceuleam can only be brought to life by the knowledge and insight provided by an archaeologist. We had Sergio who was superb. Without his explanation of the sites and pointing out specific features that only a trained eye could do, I don’t think we would have enjoyed the visits half as much. Sergio was very knowledgeable and his communicative style was very clear, well structured and captivating. He explained key archeological highlights using storytelling techniques which really does keep your attention and makes the tour incredibly interesting.
Supporting the tour on the day was Francesco Calenda our driver who was very friendly and made our journey as comfortable as possible. He also did a great job in picking out key points of interest along the journeys between sites.
Thank you Sergio and Francesco for making our day great and a memorable one. Highly recommended★

Nunsia & Pietro were wonderful (guide/driver) on the tour of Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi. The seaside towns were beautiful and well scheduled. Nunsia was very detailed and has a fantastic personality. We will plan another trip and hope to see Nunsia, Pietro and the amazing Napoli culture , people and stunning coast again soon.

We decided to try this tour guide for our Pompeii experience and it was definitely the highlight of the trip to Italy. John our tour guide was a wealth of information, a funny, knowledgable and entertaining guide who appeared to ensure everyone on the tour had the best experience possible. The trip was amazing! Marco was the best driver who had a great personality, Barbara was extremely knowledgeable and engaging during the Pompeii tour. Positano is remarkably beautiful.
