The trip waa great. Our guide Qin was very helpful, patient and extremely hospitable. The longji terracce is something not to miss if you are so do save a day for it. Teh heat can be overbearing in summer to be prepared with lots of energy and water.★

The driver was excellent, arriving early to wait for us at the hotel entrance and providing information about the attractions along the way, which helped us first-time visitors to Guilin avoid many pitfalls. For lunch, I recommend the Xiangbalao Restaurant near the Jinkeng Dazhai parking lot; the food was absolutely delicious – bamboo tube chicken, bamboo tube rice, and stuffed tofu were all wonderful!★

We had an incredible experience with our guide Jason in Longji Rice Terraces. From the moment we arrived, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about sharing the culture, history, and beauty of the area. Jason also knew the best spots for photos and gave us plenty of time to take in the beautiful scenery without feeling rushed. What could have been just a sightseeing trip became a genuine cultural experience thanks to his guidance.★

Traveling to the Longji Rice Terraces during the off-season meant fewer crowds and decent scenery. I took my mom on a self-guided trip and hired a car for this route, mainly to visit these two villages. Ping'an Zhuang Village had started its irrigation process, but the weather wasn't great, so we missed the sunset. They provided bamboo rice, but only if we ate at the restaurant there…😢 Our driver, Xiao Shi, drove smoothly, patiently, and answered all our questions. Because we were waiting for the shuttle bus at Ping'an while enjoying the night view, we were a bit late on the way back. Thank you for driving so late; five stars for Mr. Shi!
