Anna was a great tour guide and was very knowledgeable about the area. She went at a great pace for the group. Parking was a bit confusing, if there are no spots in the lot they suggest, then head up the hill and park on the side of the road.★

It's a good tour if you like castles and historical places. Even if it was super busy at the river where there is one small boat which takes tourists to the castle, we managed to get on the boat thanks to the guide - so that was good! What could have been better - we wished to have more time at the convent, and the tour was half English and half Portuguese, so the guide was repeating the same info in two languages and that was a bit annoying and a waste of time (e.g. we were moving very slowly in the convent).★

We had a fantastic private tour with João Fiandeiro exploring the Templar Castle and Convent of the Order of Christ in Tomat. He is very knowledgeable about the Templars, the site, the symbolism, the history, and he was very good at answering our questions. We enjoyed it immensely and were able to expand our education on the subject. João Is definitely an authority on this subject. Highly recommended!★
