Reviews: Riviera Col du Pillon & Glacier 3000 from Lausanne
Guest User2025-11-29
Aside from the initial anxiety of not being able to wait for the bus, the tour was quite a journey. The instructions said to arrive at 8:55, but the bus didn't arrive until 9:22. It was a large bus that could carry 40 people. It was a weekday, and today, Friday, there were about 26 people. This tour wasn't cheap, so you should check the weather beforehand before signing up. The whole trip was a great experience! You need to buy a cable car ticket to see the beautiful scenery. Babis was a funny driver, but my English wasn't good enough, so I couldn't understand his jokes. However, it was fine as long as the meeting time was confirmed. We stopped at Glacier 3000 for about 3 hours, and Babis brought a large pot of hot cinnamon wine and hot tea for everyone to drink. Then we drove for an hour to Montreux, stopped for about an hour (to explore the Christmas market on your own), and then drove for another 30 minutes to Lausanne.
Reviews: The Olympic Museum Entrance Ticket in Lausanne
Guest User2025-09-29
We have seen a few sports museums around the world but this one is easily one of the best. It has a nice open floor plan and extensive exhibits without being too overwhelming or cluttered. We appreciated how they presented some of the most important events and people for Olympic history, the inclusion of videos and the memorabilia from all eras of modern Olympic History. The museum has an accessible design with a long sloping ramp in the centre that allows access to all floors. They have a restaurant and a cafe in the building but my favourite feature was the gift shop that seemed to sell literally everything from all Olympics. They had mascots, posters and all sorts of collectibles that would be enough for any fan. The cost to enter is 20 CHF and it is easy to spend 2-3 hours here depending on the interest level. They have lockers that give back the coin deposit once you return the key. We found street parking out front to be reasonable and had many stops prior to this on a busy day as we completed a road trip around Switzerland. Outside there is a sculpture park and we enjoyed a nice sunset over the water before driving to Geneva.

Fantastic but it would take a little more time to enjoy the restaurant and/or shopping, maybe a later train because there are so many people...
