This was overall a great experience and very much worth the money; it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The instructor, Taka, spoke very good English and not only taught us how to use a katana, but also the etiquette that samurai followed in ages past. There was also sparring between the participants at the end which provided opportunity for some fun competition. Additionally, there was ample opportunity for great pictures in the gear with backdrops of samurai armor and such. A 6 star experience that I would recommend to anyone even remotely interested in Japanese history or culture.★

We took this tour with Philippe, who has been living in Kyoto for over 20 years. Although each of the places we visited were, on their own, amazing, Philippe provided an in-depth history of each which significantly deepened our appreciation. We had a wonderful experience during our guided tour! Yoshi, our guide, was very knowledgeable and clearly explained many interesting things! We personally did Ginkakuji and Kinkakuji on the same day, and Yoshi took that into account and, when explaining, made it seem like it was one tour! We definitely recommend it!★

The tour guide contacted very promptly, the route of the itinerary was reasonable, the choice of attractions was also very representative, very classic, and there was a suitable time to play after the attractions. It is a very nice choice for not familiar with the traffic route and not wanting to bother to do the strategy. Very recommended!
